 Position Summary (Primary Function)
 
 
 
 The Line Service Technician I performs various service-related duties for aircraft and customers utilizing the facility. These duties include, but are not limited to, driving refueler units, fueling aircraft, towing aircraft, assisting passengers and flight crews with luggage and refilling refueler units at the bulk fuel storage facility.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Fulfills customer service requests by performing the following duties:

 </ul>
 oDirect arriving aircraft to appropriate parking areas and safely marshal the aircraft to a parking position.
 
 
 oBe the first point of contact for arriving passengers and flight crews.
 
 
 oAssist flight crews, once passenger needs have been met, with ground transportation, service request (fuel, catering, etc.), or other various needs. In some cases a Ramp Coordinator will be present, and it shall be the Ramp Coordinator&rsquo;s responsibility to be the first point of contact with the passengers and flight crew and coordinate any service requests.
 
 
 oGathering and disseminating service requests and length-of-stay information from the flight crews to either the Customer Service Representatives or the Ramp Coordinator, as appropriate.
 
 
 oEmploy standardized practices and procedures to service aircraft (including but not limited to: towing and refueling) in a safe and efficient manner.
 
 
 oRefilling refueler units at the bulk fuel storage facility.

 Performs various aircraft service duties, as directed by the Supervisor or Shift Lead, in a safe and efficient manner.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs work in a safe manner at all times, which includes protection of customer assets(aircraft). Proper procedures, guidelines, and regulations must be followed at all times. Non-adherence to any of the rules, regulations, guidelines, or procedures is deemed unacceptable and will result in disciplinary action which may include termination.
 </li>

 Performs Customer Service functions when required.
 </li>

 Performs other duties as assigned.

 High School Diploma, GED or any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

 Mental and/or Visual Demand - Mental and visual demands are high and vary with function performed. Consistent mental attention needed to respond safely and efficiently.

 This is a PRN (as needed) role intended to provide coverage on an intermittent, fill-in basis. This is skilled and frequently supervisory work in the operation of airports. The fixed base operator employs line persons or ramp service persons who meet arriving aircraft, guide them to parking spots, assist pilots in securing their aircraft, and otherwise serve the general aviation pilots and their passengers.SCOPE OF WORK: Employees in this position are responsible for the skilled and safe operation of aviation ground moving equipment, as well as lawn care equipment, and airport fuel trucks. The candidate should have prompt execution of assignments according to established routine or special instructions received from a superior. Employees may also perform manual labor, and the duties frequently include responsibility for supervising employees assigned to the airport. Cullman Regional Airport is a General Aviation airport and serves local pilots along with corporate traffic and cargo. The lineman might have a variety of duties, depending on the organization, but most include customer service, safety procedures, routine cleaning and facility maintenance.
 
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
 Some knowledge of the methods of airport operations. Some knowledge of occupational hazards of applicable safety precautions in operating equipment. Skill in the operation of various types of standard aviation equipment as demonstrated by a test. Ability to perform aircraft marshalling duties. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to read, write and understand fluent English. Customer service is a major part of the lineman’s job, good interpersonal and communication skills are necessary. Linemen are part of the ground service team and must be able to work with other employees such as pilots and aircraft mechanics. The job often requires physical strength and stamina to move airplanes and perform cleaning or loading tasks. Linemen should have good vision and hearing for safety reasons. Lineman will need to work flexible schedules or hours.
