Balances assigned teller drawer on a daily basis. Assists with the security and monitoring of cash, money orders and confidentiality of members&rsquo; information. Understands member relationship management for the purposes of identifying potential sales opportunities for referral to the sales team. Responsible for the generation of a threshold number of product and service referrals.</div><div></div><div><br>
Responds to member&rsquo;s requests, concerns problems, and complaints regarding their accounts. Communicates and conveys information to members. Identifies member&rsquo;s needs and directs them to appropriate departments. Responds to member&rsquo;s questions in a timely fashion accurately and concisely.</div><div></div><p><br>
Performs a combination of correspondence related functions. Compiles information and routes to appropriate departments. Prepares, updates, and maintains files. Enters data into electronic and/or manual recording systems. As required assists the Branch Manager. Responds to inquires made in writing, by phone and/or in person.</p><p>
Assists with the training of new service representatives. Recommends changes to existing policies and procedures.</p><p>
Responsible for compliance with the Bank Secrecy and Anti Money Laundering Acts including monitoring for such illegal activity as it applies to this position.</p><p>

<p>Supports by shadowing new hire and volunteer on boarding activities.</p>
<p>Participates in regularly scheduled department meetings. Attends All Staff Development Days and other training sessions to acquire new skills and to stay current on all information that is pertinent to PCCLD.</p>
<p>Reads daily organizational communications from intranet, e-mail, newsletters and print announcements.</p>
<p>Stays current on all library services, programs and events throughout the district. Regularly accesses<br>
electronic time keeping, payroll and personnel employee access systems.</p>
<p><b>Job Duty Variables Dependent on Department/Branch</b></p>
<ul><li>Prepares and provides clean-up for community program supplies and assist with library programs for various age groups, such as story times, book clubs, workshops or community events.</li>
<li>Works at library locations throughout the library district.</li>
<li>Works in the call center to receive in-coming calls and provide customer assistance.</li>

<b>Education and Experience:
</b><br>
High School diploma or GED and one year of related work experience required. Two years of college,<br>
Associate&rsquo;s degree or certification in library science is preferred. Library work experience preferred.</p><br>

<b>Skills and Abilities:
</b></p><p>Requires excellent proactive customer service skills with the ability to present a positive image of the library in attitude, communication style and appearance.</p>
<p>Requires experienced computer skills for use of library software, email, internet, electronic timekeeping, on-line work order system, and employee access database.</p>
<p>Ability to become proficient in the use of library ILS software, databases and e-services, with the ability to instruct customers on their use.</p>
<p>Accurate alphabetical, numerical, and subject filing are required.</p>
<p>Intermediate mathematical skills including accurate handling of money.</p>
<p>Problem solving skills with the ability to listen, address customer concerns and assist customers in resolving these concerns.</p>
<p>Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations including people of all ages, backgrounds, races, and special needs populations.</p>
<p>Requires the ability to actively participate and contribute as a team member as well as work independently, follow instructions and use good judgment.</p>
<p>Ability to function under flexible and changing conditions.</p>
<p><b>Physical Requirements:</b></p>
<ul><li>Moves throughout library facilities, makerspaces, and public areas for extended periods during programs, trainings, and customer assistance.</li>
<li>Regularly lifts, carries, and positions materials, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds</li>
<li>May Operate and demonstrate fabrication tools, including 3D laser printers, laser cutters, sewing machines, hand tools, and other creative technologies requiring fine motor skills, manual dexterity, and sustained attention.</li>
<li>Sets up and breaks down program spaces, including moving tables, chairs, tools and technology.</li>
<li>Uses computers, design software, and digital devices for extended periods.</li>
<li>Communicates effectively in person, by phone and in group settings; must be able to hear, speak, and exchange information with customers and staff.</li>
<li>Performs repetitive work that may require standing, bending, kneeling, shelving, lifting, pushing and pulling.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and push/pull a fully loaded book cart weighing up to 200 pounds</li>
</ul>
<p></p><p><b>Environmental Requirements:</b></p>
<ul><li>May work in a makerspace environment with exposure to noise, odors, heath and particulates associated with fabrication tools (e.g., 3D printers, laser cutters, soldering equipment, crafting materials).</li>
<li>Follows all safety protocols, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.</li>
<li>Works in public services areas with frequent interruptions, varying noise levels, and continuous interaction with customers of all ages and backgrounds.</li>
<li>Travels between library locations and community sites for programs, outreach, and training.</li>
<li>Works a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, and occasional off-site events.</li>
</ul>

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings and weekends. Must submit to and<br>
successfully pass a criminal background investigation.</p>
