Custodial Services strives to provide high quality, customer service-oriented cleaning services to the university community. Building service workers provide routine and special cleaning services in campus buildings and residence halls, including restrooms, bathrooms, offices, classrooms, laboratories, and public areas. The nature and frequency of cleaning is performed according to Custodial Services' Quality Control Program.</p><p><br>
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<br>
1. According to the assigned schedule: Clean spaces daily, empty wastebaskets and recycling containers per procedures. Carry trash outside to pick up locations. Turn off lights in unoccupied rooms, lock doors, in all rooms except classrooms, and secure all windows. (18%)<br>
2. Spot clean walls, doors, partitions, switch plates, etc. Sweep, dust mop, wet mop, and spray buff floors. Vacuum and spot clean carpeting. Clean and replenish chalkboard/whiteboards, trays and erasers. (18%)<br>
3. In restrooms: clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, clean mirrors, mop bathroom floors and showers, complete cleaning daily. Disinfect shower curtain. Clean drinking fountains and emergency eyewashes, etc. Replenish all restroom supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels and soap; Request supplies in reasonable quantities, to avoid shortages and overstocking. Turn in vending funds. Clean interior glass and all types of furniture. (18%)<br>

Recognize when assistance, training, and direction are needed so that work objectives are accomplished in a safe, complete, efficient, and timely manner. Alert the supervisor to these situations and assist as needed. Within assigned buildings, ensure that the university's recycling programs are carried out. The Awake Overnight Direct Service Worker is responsible to be available to and assist the clients during the night and to assist with morning activities as needed.</div><div></div><div><br>

Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma/GED Shift: Third Shift Additional Shift Details: Thu, Fri, Sat 10pm - 8am Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Ensure the well-being and safety of clients, fostering a clean, home-like environment.</li><li>
Remain awake, alert and responsive to the needs of the clients throughout the shift.</li><li>
Assist clients with morning activities such as preparing for the day, cleaning and cooking.</li><li>
Provide routine checks according to program procedure.</li><li>
Develop and document Individualized Action Plans (IAPs), Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and other reviews with the clients.</li><li>
Communicate program participant's progress, mental status, and any changes in daily notes.</li><li>
Report significant health, psychiatric or behavioral issues to the on-call staff member.</li><li>
Provide crisis intervention and access emergency services as needed.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent degree, plus six months' related experience.</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal, judgement and coaching skills.</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Ability to utilize basic computer applications.</li><li>
Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, client-centered, team-oriented environment.</li><li>
Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients.</li><li>
Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.</li></ul><div></div><div><i><br>
