May run sheet metal jobs as a Superintendent.</p><p>
Individuals should be able to read and understand blueprints, communicate effectively with all other people on the project, including our subcontractors, and represent TP Mechanical Contractors in a professional manner.</p><p>
Should be able to accept directions and/or lead and delegate the work if necessary.</p><p>
Focus on safety and safety practices first and foremost at all task inceptions</p><p>
Responsibilities and Duties:</p><ul><li>Coordinate, install and/or repair sheet metal and/or duct systems.</li><li>Assists with the assembly and installation of HVAC equipment as necessary.</li><li>Install hangars or supports for HVAC systems.</li><li>Perform field fabrication of sheet metal and/or duct systems and set up the specific task or project schedule.</li><li>Make adjustments to work sequences to meet construction schedules, using own knowledge of equipment and lower-level personnel capacities.</li><li>Manage materials to ensure timely completion of the work scheduled.</li></ul><p>
Ensure optimal material consumption.</p><ul><li>Inspect work in progress and completed work to ensure conformance to contract and specification.</li><li>Reads blueprints and interprets specifications.</li><li>Correct punch-list items and make distribution as required.</li><li>Attend, as required, all jobsite and office meetings related to assigned projects.</li><li>Keeps equipment in good working order and insures proper and timely maintenance is performed on equipment.</li><li>Ensure the needs of general contractors, owners, and other customers as well as entrusted employees are met</li><li>Keep the superintendent or project manager aware of all issues affecting production and schedule.</li><li>Serve as a coach and mentor to lower echelon to help them develop and improve their skills and increase their technical knowledge</li></ul><p>

o 10+ year(s) commercial experience of sheet metal/HVAC in field operations.</p><p>
o Prior shop experience a plus.</p><p>

Position Summary</b></h2><p>
The Sheetmetal Foreman &ndash; Mechanical leads and supervises a small crew to safely and efficiently execute mechanical and sheet metal work in the field. This hands-on leadership role ensures the crew meets safety, quality, and productivity goals while performing regular trade work alongside the team.
