<div>Summary: Working as part of a team, the Shelter Supervisor will be responsible

for the day to day running and supervision of program site. This position handles

the scheduling of staff on shifts for a 24/7 schedule and is responsible for finding

coverage for staff callouts and approved days off. The Shelter Supervisor will

provide direct guidance and feedback to staff and clients and will complete

warnings, write-ups, and reviews.

<ul><li>Ensure maintenance of a clean, safe, and supportive environment for clients and staff. Understand and implement all FSC policies and procedures.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Interact and monitor client&rsquo;s behavior in a positive and professional manner, issuing write ups and facilitating discharges.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Encourage clients to comply with facility policy and procedures.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Participate and assist monthly community meetings for clients and another for staff.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assist clients if CSA staff require support. Work as a CSA when necessary to meet full staffing.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Escalate to Director&rsquo;s attention any observed or suspected abuse and/or neglect of children, disabled individuals, dependent adults and elder/senior citizens.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Professionally communicating and planning with partners, such as laundry and food providers.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintain inventory of the shelter and communicating supply needs with Program Director.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensure the cabin capacity and availability is completed and reported to Program Director</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assist with training for new hires, volunteers and temporary staff on your delegated work shift or as assigned by Program Director.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Review information regarding the site by reading emails, daily notes, and incident reports.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Perform basic front desk duties to include, answering phones, filing, Microsoft Office, Data entry, monitor surveillance.</li></ul>
<ul><li>In case of emergency, as a last resort, be available to cover the shift that cannot be filled.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Perform other tasks as necessary as assigned or requested by the Program Director.</li></ul>

** The Shelter Coordinator position provides &ldquo;rotating 30 minutes of break time coverage&rdquo; to the Shelter program
staff in the Denver Metro Area Shelters. This is a rotating position where the Shelter Coordinator will travel to
assigned sites to relieve staff for their 30-minute break. The Shelter Coordinator position is responsible for
managing the facility (in the time they are covering). The programs under Shelter purview serve multiple
populations in different programs: a Safe Haven for chronically homeless women with mental health concerns, a
family shelter, a Grant Per Diem program for Veteran Families and unaccompanied individuals, and a shelter for
older women. Service modalities for all programs under RYES include Housing First Trauma Informed Care, Harm
Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, and Crisis De-escalation. Job duties include supporting and coordinating with
other staff in the delivery of appropriate housing stability and support services for individuals and families
experiencing homelessness, including ensuring participants needs are met, maintaining the safety and wellbeing of
program participants, and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility. Further, the Shelter Coordinator will have a
basic understanding of mental health services and may have the opportunity to develop in specialty areas
including housing, employment, legal services, benefits, or others as indicated by the needs of the program(s).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>
Ensures that the program participants&rsquo; voices are heard, and when appropriate the participants ideas play a prominent role in programming.</li><li>
Responsible for possessing an in-depth knowledge regarding program requirements, including the referral process, support services, and field-relevant best practices.</li><li>
Demonstrates knowledge of participant-specific resources, a passion for serving the population and people experiencing homelessness, and the ability to contribute to the program-wide objectives of a diverse and dynamic team.</li><li>
