The production environment is typical of many indoor manufacturing facilities. This is a &ldquo;Safety First&rdquo; facility P.P.E. gear is mandatory with no exceptions. The noise generated within the facility is moderate but sometimes using certain equipment may require hearing protection. Employees frequently work on or around moving and heated equipment sometimes with extreme temperatures.<br>

About this Opportunity:</b></p><p>
Responsible for moving materials, products, and shipments in and out of an industrial distribution warehouse. Performs various operations, such as unloading, picking, packing counting, and checking items to maintain inventory. Operates hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other material handling equipment according to safety policies and procedures.</p><p><b>

RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p>
<p>
Under the general supervision of the Crew Leader, the Transportation Coordinator is responsible for:</p>
<ul>
<li>Prepare domestic, hazardous, Signature Brands and export shipping documents through S.A.P. Work with warehouse crews to resolve and correct in S.A.P. warehouse, delivery, or shipment issues in order to prepare and load shipments. Coordinate with Distribution Coordinator to troubleshoot future shipments and deliveries to prioritize workload. Communicate with carriers and drivers. Ensure that all shipments have shipped daily, monthly and quarterly within S.O.X. compliance guidelines. Create outbound Will Call shipments upon contact by carriers. Update multiple shipment schedules. Email schedules and end of day updates. Correct shipment or carrier problems if possible. If not possible, create a temporary solution that can be fully resolved the next day.</li>
<li>Manage and post inbound schedule. Make changes as needed</li>
<li>Answer carrier inquiries regarding drivers, appointments, directions, or equipment needs. Interact with both inbound and outbound drivers. Work with Customer Service, Transportation Planning, Crew Leaders, and/or Carrier Management when requested to help resolve issues or answer questions.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot hazardous shipping discrepancies by querying S.A.P. for hazardous information, then identify and correct any potential hazardous material shipping issues.</li>
<li>Back up timekeeper as needed and run LMS reports, and run month end reports as needed</li>
<li>Post Supplier vendor inbound data</li>
<li>Any other office related duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
<p><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b>
</p><ul><li>GED Minimum level of education</li>
<li>3 years Transporation experience</li>
<li>Proficient in ERP system; SAP preferred.</li>
