CrossCountry Freight Solutions is a leader in the LTL industry, and we are looking for a Shuttle Driver to join our dedicated team.
</p><p></p><p>The Shuttle Driver is a hybrid role responsible for moving trailers and equipment both on Company property (approximately 85% of time) and to off-site locations via short-haul shuttle runs (approximately 15% of time). Primary duties include picking up and dropping off trailers at customer locations, intermodal facilities, drop yards, and partner carrier sites, as well as spotting and repositioning trailers within the service center yard to support loading and unloading operations. This position may also serve as a backup for delivery routes as operational needs require. The Shuttle Driver will be required to maintain records by retaining load-related paperwork in compliance with DOT guidelines.</p><p></p><p><b>
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES</b></p><ul><li>
Operates a tractor-trailer combination in a safe and legal manner both on Company property (approximately 85% of time) and on public roadways for off-site shuttle runs (approximately 15% of time).</li><li>
Hook and unhook various commercial combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, operates fifth wheel release levers, lock and release pintle-hooks, attach and release safety chains, open and close cargo doors, climb into and out of vehicles, and fuels and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.</li><li>
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.</li><li>
Maintain driving records required to comply with State and Federal regulations.</li><li>
Determine optimal method for loading freight to minimize damage and maximize trailer capacity; secure cargo within the vehicle to avoid damage.</li><li>
Pick up and drop off trailers at customer facilities, drop yards, intermodal/rail locations, and partner carrier terminals as dispatched; obtain required paperwork (BOLs, interchange receipts) at each stop and return completed documents to the service center.</li><li>
Spot and reposition trailers within the service center yard to ensure proper dock door alignment and support timely loading/unloading operations.</li><li>
May serve as a backup driver delivery routes as operationally required; ability to sort and deliver freight to multiple stops is expected in this capacity.</li><li>
Communicate trailer status, yard positions, and any equipment defects or delays to dispatch and the Service Center Manager in a timely manner.</li><li>
Adhere to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding safety and hazardous materials.

<p><b>DRIVER - THIRD SHIFT (OVERNIGHT SHIFT) AIRPORT SHUTTLE DRIVER</b></p><p><b>QUALIFICTIONS</b></p><ul><li>Must be at least 25 years or older (Insurance Requirement)</li><li>Clean Driving Record</li><li>Valid Drivers License</li><li>Pass DOT Drug Screen</li><li>Pass Background Check</li><li>Pass DOT Physical</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to lift luggage into van as needed</li><li>Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally</li><li>Punctuality and reliability are essential</li><li>Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local traffic laws</li><li>Attention to detail and a commitment to safety</li><li>Professional appearance and demeanor</li></ul><p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><ul><li>Safely transport clients to and from CVG Airport following all traffic laws and safety regulations.</li><li>Ensure the safety of all passengers and their belongings throughout the journey.</li><li>Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage onto the shuttle. Provide any necessary assistance to passengers with disabilities or special needs.</li><li>Perform Pre &amp; Post Trip Inspections. Ensure vehicle is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate person/s.</li><li>Provide professional and friendly customer service to passengers. Answer questions, provide information and address any concerns or complaints.</li><li>Maintain clear and effective communication with passengers, colleagues and supervisors. Keep passengers informed of any changes to the schedule or route.</li><li>Follow assigned schedules and routes to pick up and drop off clients promptly. Notify dispatch of any delays or changes in schedule.</li><li>Have a thorough understanding of airport terminals, hotels and other locations on the shuttle route. Navigate efficiently, avoiding traffic congestion if possible.</li><li>Keep the van clean and presentable at all times. Ensure the interior is free of trash and debris.</li><li>Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
