Job Responsibilities:</b></div><div><ul><li>
Maintain total confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA law, CARF accreditation standards and Maryland State Regulations.</li><li>
Using the electronic medical records (EMR), input data and following through seeing services to their completion.</li><li>
Take part in all agency training programs as requested.</li><li>
Complete specialty referrals on behalf of providers: collaborate with specialty offices to ensure continuity of care and receipt of specialty services.</li><li>
Complete prior authorizations for services and medications; collaborate with pharmacy, pharmaceutical, and service vendors to ensure continuity of care.</li><li>
Administer prescribed medications, including injections under the supervision of the prescriber or register nurse.</li><li>
Collect and process lab specimens</li><li>
Complete all regulatory documentation of client treatment and share information in a timely</li><li>
manner with other professionals working with client, both with the staff and, with client permission, outside agencies.</li><li>
Assist providers with office visits and provide skilled nursing services as scheduled and document information in the organizations EMR.</li><li>
Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure, and document vital signs.</li><li>
Monitor the nurse line to triage and respond to client needs through collaboration with the care team, which includes pharmacy coordination.</li><li>
Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required; Properly disposes of contaminated supplies</li><li>
Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls</li><li>
 Collaborate with rehabilitation/treatment plans and staff in serving the client&rsquo;s needs.</li><li>
Provide health promotion and training as requested.</li><li>

Qualifications, Educations and Experience:</b></div><div><ul><li>
Must possess a current license as a Practical Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing.</li><li>
Two years of nursing experience, preferably working with those who have mental illness.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a teamwork environment.</li><li>
Highly developed organizational and communication skills.</li><li>
Availability for work including some evenings as needed.</li><li>
Current CPR certification.</li><li>
