<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>What You'll Be Doing</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><div>The Child Welfare Services Division of the Social Services Office is currently recruiting for an experienced and caring individual to provide clinical supervision and oversight for 7 licensed Social Workers/Child Welfare Caseworkers who provide Out-of-Home Services (Kinship and Foster Care) to children and youth throughout the developmental spectrum from ages 0-21. All the children served by this unit have been removed from their parents and are in an out-of-home placement because of an abuse and/or neglect allegation. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activity of social workers as it pertains to risk, safety, well-being, and permanency. This position is expected to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across the region to identify and develop resources and appropriate services to achieve permanency for the children overseen by the unit. The selected candidate will also provide oversight to Kinship cases.</div><div></div><div><br>
The selected candidate will also be a representative at various state and local meetings pertaining to issues of youth in foster care and appropriate service planning to support in the achievement of permanency. The selected individual will advocate for services; train staff and the community regarding service needs and available resources; represent the Department at court proceedings, as necessary; and review and evaluate program trends, data, and outcomes as well as service quality. This individual will be responsible for staff development, hiring, evaluation, and training. The selected individual will monitor unit compliance with Federal and State mandates, as relates to the foster care out-of-home population.</div><div></div><div><br>
Although the normal hours of operation for CWS are from 8:30 a.m. &ndash; 5 p.m., the Supervisor must be available to staff providing direct services to children/families who may be required/expected to work earlier or later (for example, home visits, an emergency removal, extended court hearings, etc.) Employees will need to potentially transport children and their belongings to and from locations within the State of Maryland. Candidates may need to carry car seats and children along with supplies.<br>

<div>The selected candidate will be required to successfully compete a pre-employment medical exam, drug screening and background check to include a criminal history records check through the Maryland State Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. Candidates will also be checked through the Maryland Registry for Child Abuse and Neglect and federal and state sex offender registries. Any applicant who fails the medical exam, drug screening, background check or whose name appears on either of the registries may be disqualified from employment for this position.</div></div><br>

<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><div><b>Education:</b> Possession of a master&rsquo;s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited college or university that meets the criteria of a graduate social work program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.</div><div><b>
Experience: </b>Four (4) years of full-time experience performing advanced journey-level social work case management duties (see Note below) in a public sector, health, mental health, social services, housing, or community-based services-related program of which (1) year was in a supervisory or lead capacity supervising, training, or orienting lower-level social workers, students, interns, or other staff.</div><div><b>
Equivalency: </b>See requirements of the Maryland Board of Social Worker Examiners and the Code of Maryland (COMAR); see especially 10.42.01 (Regulations Governing Licensure); 10.42.06 (Continuing Education);and10.42.08 (Supervision). The Montgomery County Office of Human Resources must follow COMAR in providing qualifications credit and accepting substitutions or equivalents. See Chapter 8 (Supervision), Subtitle 42 of Title 10. See COMAR 10.42-08.04 for positions in this class that involve clinical supervision of LMSWs and LCSWs seeking advanced licensure.</div><div><b>
Note:</b> Qualifying social work case management includes direct case work management, such as: assessment and evaluation; conducting investigations of abuse and neglect; preparing court reports; responsibility for a long term caseload, monitoring compliance through home calls and other personal contact; collaboration with other agencies and linking clients to resources and programs; development of a case plan and modification of case plans as needed/required; and authority to impose sanctions or implement actions that impact services. Education, experience or training must indicate the ability to perform successfully as a first level supervisor such as the ability to plan/assign/review work, deploy personnel, monitor work operations, obtain effective results and perform a full array of supervisory HR management and EEO functions.</div><div><b>

The Social Worker/Site Supervisor is also responsible for the supervision of off-site Social Workers. The position is full-time (40 hours per week), exempt.

<b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES
</b></p><ul><li>Deliver support services programs for tenants using a lens of cultural humility</li><li>
Provide supervision to on and off-site Social Work Staff.</li><li>
Hire, orient and train new supervisees.</li><li>
Manage a caseload of individuals.</li><li>
Assertively and regularly outreach to all assigned tenants, including home visits.</li><li>
Identify tenants in need of services and maintain awareness of tenant's overall health status; including but not limited to specific medical, mental health and substance use needs.
</li><li>Complete comprehensive Intakes and Assessments with assigned tenants.</li><li>
Provide assigned tenants with trauma informed case-management and supportive counseling.</li><li>
Provide housing stabilization, retention and eviction prevention services.</li><li>
Provide tenants with family focused information and referrals to off-site service providers in the community.

</p><p>B. A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, history, criminal justice, theology, counseling, education, or be a registered nurse, and 5 years mental health direct care experience, 2 of which shall include supervisory experience; or

<p>Starting Salary $45,000 - $48,000</p>
<p>Annual Bonus of up to $10,000.</p>
<p>The successful applicant must have a valid Driver's License and be able to obtain Act 33, Act 34 and FBI clearances.</p>

Blended Case Management Supervisor

<p>We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical services within our program at Glass City Behavioral Healthcare. In this vital role, you will foster a collaborative environment that promotes growth and excellence. Your expertise will directly impact individuals and families navigating complex mental health challenges. This role is responsible for delivering individual and group therapy, developing treatment plans, completing clinical documentation, and providing supervision oversight in accordance with state and accreditation standards.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><p>&middot; Oversees the performance of chemical dependency counselor&rsquo;s, interns, and other mental health profession assessments to assure that client care needs are identified and incorporated in the treatment plans.</p><p>&middot; Ensures proper staffing for all programs</p><p>&middot; Collaborates with directors and coordinators of other services within GCBH (i.e. school supervisor) as it pertains to client care and ongoing services.</p><p>&middot; Collaborates with referral sources and educates the community about services at GCBH.</p><p>&middot; Oversees quality improvement activities including peer reviews and chart reviews.</p><p>&middot; Oversees credential requirements ensuring all standards or practice are being met</p><p>&middot; Conducts mental health assessments screening tools.</p><p>&middot; Conducts psychotherapy or expressive groups as determined by level of licensure and assignment.</p><p>&middot; Conducts individual therapy sessions.</p><p>&middot; Assumes responsibility associated with case management of clients on his/her case load as needed.</p><p>&middot; Documents all interactions with clients in the clients&rsquo; individual file.</p><p>&middot; Conducts weekly/biweekly clinical team meetings with all supervisors at designated locations including employees and interns.</p><p>&middot; Appropriately documents all supervision sessions.</p><p>&middot; Reviews all clinical documentation of supervisors including assessments, progress notes, and all other relevant clinical documentation.</p><p>&middot; Meets with intern&rsquo;s school supervisors to provide updates on intern&rsquo;s progress.</p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><p>&middot; Master&rsquo;s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or another relevant field.</p><p>&middot; Active LISW license in the state of Ohio (required)</p><p>&middot; Three years of experience in working with adults or any combination of education and experience.</p><p>&middot; Clinical theory and specific techniques of intervention.</p><p>&middot; Supervisory skills and methods including multicultural issues.</p><p>&middot; Knowledge of community resources and the ability to employ knowledge in a clinically sound discharge plan for all client groups.</p><p>&middot; Ability to organize a complex workload so that all pertinent issues are addressed in a timely fashion and documented when necessary, including basic computer skills</p><p>&middot; Knowledge of various schools of individual therapy and the ability to use clinical knowledge to intervene therapeutically with difficult clients.</p><p>&middot; Ability to establish good rapport and demonstrate a positive public relations image in working with the public, clients, families, significant others, and other staff</p><p>&middot; Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.</p><p>&middot; Ability to interact effectively with clients in an empathic and professional manner.</p><p>This role is ideal for passionate social work professionals eager to lead impactful change while advancing their career in a supportive environment dedicated to excellence in behavioral health.</p><p><b>Benefits Include:</b></p><p>&middot; <b>CEU Trainings</b></p><p>&middot; <b>Medical/dental/vision insurance (no premium)</b></p><p>&middot; <b>401 (k) with employer match option</b></p><p>&middot; <b>14 paid holidays</b></p><p>&middot; <b>***Sign on bonus $3,000***</b></p><p>Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul><p>Work Location: In person</p>
