KBR is seeking a Software Engineer/Developer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. This position supports the Air Force Research Laboratory&rsquo;s Space Vehicles Directorate (ARFL/RV), the Air Force&rsquo;s center of excellence for space research. AFRL/RV develops and transitions technologies that provide space-based capabilities to the nation. In this role, you will work with government and industry leaders to develop new modeling &amp; simulation capabilities for space, driving critical analyses and investment decisions for pathfinding technologies.
Responsibilities will include:<ul><li>
Perform software design and development in C++</li><li>
Collaborate with customers and systems engineers and subject matter experts to develop, refine and translate requirements</li><li>
Research trends for various concept designs and translate to detailed software models</li><li>
Provide technical engineering support to analysis projects</li><li>
Conduct modeling and simulation (M&amp;S) study and analysis support</li><li>
Analyze test data on various space systems, compare to M&amp;S results, provide summary reports</li><li>

Required Experience<ul><li>
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences or other related degree</li><li>
1-3 years of programming experience with C++, Python, Matlab, and Visual Basic. Experience using AFSIM is highly desired.</li><li>
Some experience in system architecting, modeling, simulation, analysis, developing concepts, early systems engineering, and/or soliciting concepts from industry and stakeholders</li><li>
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing to support acquisition documentation and effectively collaborate among the engineering team and management to achieve common project goals</li><li>
Ability to build, integrate and troubleshoot software components</li><li>
Ability to take technical findings/data to generate analysis required to support informed decisions</li></ul>
Preferred Experience:<ul><li>
General knowledge of other software programming frameworks and databases and the ability to apply that knowledge to the software domain</li><li>
