 Anne Arundel County is located on the Chesapeake Bay between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The Landfill Manager manages the operation, and maintenance of a County sanitary landfill, resource recovery facility, and recycling center.

 The Landfill Manager position will manage the day-to-day operations of the active landfill and the seven (7) closed landfill areas at the 565-acre Millersville Landfill and Resource Recovery Facility located in Severn, Maryland, and two (2) closed landfills, located in Deale and Glen Burnie, Maryland, owned by the County. The position will oversee municipal landfilling operations at the state-of-the-art Millersville Landfill and Resource Recovery Facility. Operation includes managing the state-of-the-art solid waste disposal facility, including liner and leachate collection systems, landfill gas (LFG) collection, conveyance and recovery systems, recycling activities, and post-closure care.

  NATURE AND VARIETY OF WORK

 There is considerable public contact with county residents and private contractors on operational issues, and citizens concerning on- and off-site environmental compliance activities. Work involves responsibility for planning, organizing, and supervising the daily operations at the County landfill, associated recycling center, and other resource recovery operations. Responsibilities include supervising staff, planning the layout and fill sequences within a landfill sub-cell, maintaining proper berms, ditches, and access roads, assuring proper cover of solid waste with suitable materials, and oversight and contract supervision of a yard waste composting operation currently operated by a third party. The employee must apply sound waste management principles and applications to ensure effective landfill operations and compliance with Federal, State, and County regulations on environmental mandates. The complexity of work requires reading and interpreting a variety of engineering documents prepared by consultants regarding erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, fill sequence of landfill cells and sub-cells, and determining what devices are available to enforce sediment and erosion and stormwater controls. The scope of work impacts County citizens using the facility, other County agencies, and private contractors.

Informs users of the landfill and recycling area of rules, regulations, and responsibilities in the disposal of solid waste; prepares and maintains necessary records and reports on personnel, as well as the operation of the facilities.

 Inspects all new construction such as lined cells, leachate collection, sediment and erosion control devices, and recycling area layout. Assist with the preparation of, and administers operating budget for the landfill and resource recovery areas. (one regular part-time and one seasonal part-time) As a Grounds Specialist, you will play a vital role in keeping Topsail Beach a clean, safe, and beautiful place for residents and visitors alike. <div><p>Brown and Caldwell is looking for a Client Services Manager to join the waste market sector team within our Private Sector Business Unit to support our clients in the Northeast and throughout the US. The successful candidate will have experience selling and/or delivering large capital projects. Projects will entail a broad spectrum of work, ranging from studies, environmental investigations and design for solid waste management and recycling facilities and waste disposal facilities. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a growth-oriented professional consulting firm with multiple offices throughout the US. Candidate will work with strong, nationally recognized, technical staff on a variety of projects.</p>

The Client Services Manager role represents the entry-level client leadership position at BC. Individuals progress into a Client Services Manager after demonstrating both interest and foundational capability in the Client Service Manager (CSM) function, supported by successful completion of the required CSM readiness assessment.</p>
<p>
The purpose of the Client Services Manager role is to build and apply core client leadership practices, advancing the firm&rsquo;s consistency and effectiveness in managing BC&rsquo;s business for clients. A Client Services Manager should also be actively working on projects with the client and maintain a utilization target of 60-75% with remaining availability largely devoted to business and client development.</p>

While serving as a Client Services Manager, the individual demonstrates the ability to maintain, leverage, and expand client relationships. Growth contribution is achieved through strong project delivery, successful pursuit participation, and active engagement with the Client Service Team (CST).</p>
<p>
Client Services Manager effectiveness is grounded in credibility, both technical and relational, reinforced by visible and measurable contributions to client outcomes and opportunity development.</p>
<p>
A Client Services Manager is expected to serve as an active and engaged member of a CST for a Type I or Type II client and, in some instances, may serve as the CSM for a Type II client. The CSM should expect to spend 20 percent of their time with the client (some of this time may occur as part of billable work).</p>

Responsibilities</b></p>

<li>Support administration and performance of the client portfolio (projects and pursuits) to achieve BC and client business outcomes.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Serve as an active CST member (Deputy CSM) for a Type I or Type II client; may serve as CSM for a Type II client in select cases.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Contribute to development of client growth strategies and business cases aligned with 1-, 3-, and 5-year milestones.</li>
