About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sourcing Coordinator to join our team and assist in overseeing all aspects of beauty product production. The ideal candidate will have an interest in the beauty industry, experience in supply chain management, exceptional communication skills, and fluency in Korean to facilitate communication with our manufacturing partners in Korea. Title: Sourcing Coordinator

Location: Onsite

Pay Range: $25-$30/hr DOE
Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of production activities, including inventory levels, production costs, and quality assurance documentation.

Manage purchase order (PO) issuance and schedule control with suppliers, communicating production requirements, timelines, and specifications effectively.

Coordinate with internal teams, including product development, supply chain, and quality control, to ensure seamless execution of production plans.

Manage material master data sourcing, components, and packaging materials from domestic and international suppliers, maintaining relationships while updating and maintaining documentation.

Manage EPR-related tasks, including supplier communication and documentation updates.

Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce production costs.

Coordinate license-related documentation through communication with suppliers and proper document management.

Provide support as needed, including preparing reports, scheduling meetings, and coordinating logistics for production-related activities.

Manage contract-related tasks, including supplier communication and updating/maintaining contractual documents.

Support invoice-related tasks, sample labeling, and sample management tasks when necessary.

Other duties assigned per departmental needs.

Qualifications

Fluency in Korean and English is strongly preferred

Previous experience in production, supply chain management, or manufacturing within the beauty industry is strongly preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands effectively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with production management software is a plus.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.

Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

<ul><li>Croda is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator responsible for ensuring that all externally sourced raw materials, packaging and consumables are ordered and received into Croda&rsquo;s sites in a prompt and timely manner to support production requirements, while also minimizing working capital and costs. Perform all duties within the Company&rsquo;s safety, health &amp; environmental regulations. All other duties as assigned by management.</li></ul>
What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing:
<ul><li>KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
MATERIAL SCHEDULING AND PROCUREMENT: 65% 
Plan and Schedule material purchase orders using the SAP stock requirements lists generated from MRP.Coordinate the work with the site production planners and supply chain managers.
 
Work closely with procurement managers to understand supply strategy, which vendors to order from and at which terms, while providing short-term demand outlook and recommendations for safety stock levels.Inform managers of any gaps in coverage. 
Ensure that raw materials, packaging, and consumables are ordered and arrive as needed, taking lead times, safety stocks, and logistical constraints on site into consideration. 
Coordinate deliveries of carriers, rail cars and trucks to meet plant schedules.Role requires a significant amount of discussion and negotiation with suppliers and carriers to ensure delivery times are met and any variances on delivery dates are maintained within SAP and related plant scheduling systems. 
Order consumable materials as needed for the site. 
Ensure materials meet all applicable Croda purchase and regulatory specifications. 
Assist with set up of new materials in SAP, obtain documents from suppliers and leading inSPIRE qualification requests as assigned. 
 
VENDOR ACTIVITIES: 25% 
Place orders directly with vendors, confirming commercial terms as negotiated by managers and delivery as needed by production.Follow up frequently required with vendor as production schedules change. 
Communicate routinely with vendors and negotiate pricing and delivery terms with non-centrally managed raw materials. Excellent planning and organizational skills are required as products and services are sourced globally with a large number of suppliers on different INCOTERMS.This can range from US based suppliers with short lead times and delivered pricing, to overseas based suppliers in Europe and Asia where lead times can be several months.Coordinating deliveries with this complexity needs strong attention to detail.
 
Raise supplier complaints and follow through to obtain complaint root cause and corrective action response and ensure appropriate actions are taken to improve supplier performance. 
Resolve any invoice issues. 
OTHER DUTIES: 10% 
 
Manage and maintain a number of internal processes including the following: Vendor Performance Evaluation System, Regulatory Certification, and all Site Purchasing Procedures (such as those needed to maintain company ISO and ACC certifications.
 
Ensure all SAP master data is maintained including prices, lead times, delivery times, supplier approvals, source lists and purchasing specifications as required.
 
 
Provide back-up for department members as need, and complete training as required.</li></ul>
EDUCATION &amp; TRAINING: BS or BA Degree is required, a degree in Supply Chain or Business as well as purchasing certifications a plus. 
KNOWLEDGE &amp; EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of UCC law and SAP highly preferred. 
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must have oral &amp; written proficiency in the English language. 
COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficiency in MS Office. 
Knowledge of SAP is preferred. 
Proficient typing skills. 
OTHER SKILLS: 
Individuals must have good communication skills, work well in a team, have excellent planning and organization skills, good work accuracy and have excellent attention to detail.
 
An ability to communicate with and influence a wide range of contacts both internally and externally is beneficial. 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Able to sit, walk, or stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
