Job Description:</div><div>
The part-time Librarian is a part-time professional position located on Pensacola State College's Pensacola campus. This position reports to the Director of Library Services.</div><div></div><div>
Responsibilities and Duties:</div><ul><li>
Answers reference questions in the Library, online, and by telephone.</li><li>
Instructs and promotes the use of all library materials.</li><li>
Participates in library orientations, and provides tours and classroom visits, when necessary.</li><li>
Reviews book selection aids to select material for possible purchase and inclusion in the collection.</li><li>
Assists in weeding materials and recommends titles to be discarded.</li><li>
Instructs and supervises student assistants assigned to the reference area.</li><li>
Serves in other public service areas when needed.</li><li>
Works nights and Sundays when needed.</li><li>
Participates in all tasks necessary to ensure good housekeeping, including shelf reading, shelving and maintaining general appearance of the reference area.</li><li>
Cooperates as a team member with library staff in performing any professional or non-professional duty essential to the achievement of efficient library services and operation.</li><li>
Reports all problems and changes to the appropriate campus librarian.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Minimum Qualifications: Master&rsquo;s degree in Library Sciences from an accredited school of Library Science. Must possess knowledge of LC Classification System.</div><div></div><div>
Preferred Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience.</div><div></div><div>

The Town of Plainville is currently seeking a <b>substitute</b> part-time adult services/reference librarian for the Plainville Public Library. This is a substitute, on-call position with no set schedule; hours will be assigned as needed based on operational demands.Rate of pay is $27.81 per hour. Sick leave is provided consistent with State of Connecticut Regulations, but there are no other benefits associated with this position. This is not a union-eligible post.</div><div></div><div><br>
Talents sought for this position include exceptional customer service skills; outstanding computer knowledge and technology instruction skills; and the ability to provide competent library research instruction and assistance.</div><div>
