V2X is seeking a Corporate Communications Specialist Position for our Springfield, VA location and the position is required to be onsite.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
**This position require an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.</b></div><div></div><div><br>
The Corporate Communications Specialist provides communications support NGA Human Development (HD) Directorate. The individual will be matrixed to one of five HD offices providing communication support while aligning to HD communication guidance. Specifically, the Corporate Communications Officer will support the Human Development Strategic (HDS) office, or the Analytic Capabilities Office, responsible for providing communication support to all HD offices including the HD Front Office. This office is responsible for HD strategy and policy, Technical Integration to include HD requirements for PeopleSoft enhancements, Advanced Analytic support including analyzing surveys and assessments.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Develop and implement internal and external communications.</li><li>
Proactively identify and implement marketing strategies.</li><li>
Based on awareness and understanding of NGA mission and operations tempo, identify and reach out to potential users and user groups.</li><li>
Analyze customer needs; make appropriate recommendations for message/information development, communication method selection, and timing of messages.</li><li>
Tailor messages by target audience.</li><li>
Research, write, edit, and publish communications products (e.g., print, web, electronic, briefings).</li><li>
Provide direction to graphic designers, briefing developers, photographers, illustrators and other required staff.</li><li>
Prepare material for publication and other media both internally and externally.</li><li>
Manage and monitor production schedules.</li><li>
Develop new communication methods to reach target audiences.</li><li>
Support NGA senior leaders by writing speeches, talking points, video scripts, briefings, and other communications products (e.g., emails, articles).</li><li>
Create and implement strategic communications and understand the needs of the supporting HD Office.</li><li>
Support the HD Office's leadership communication needs by assisting in the development of a Strategic Communications Plan and by providing support to development of a variety of communications vehicles. Example capabilities include message ghost writing and editing, preparing the Managers Essential articles, responding to inquiries, crafting senior talking points, developing communication tool kits, and producing other communication vehicles to support the implementation of the HD Strategic Communications Plan.</li><li>
Provide the applicable HD office with expertise in stakeholder analysis and communication needs management. Activities will include understanding the communication needs of the internal and external stakeholders, interfacing with segmented audiences, assessing the effectiveness of communication plans and products, and providing feedback to leadership.</li><li>
Provide presentation support to HD Office leadership. Support includes working directly with the principal to understand message intent, developing targeted/tailored graphical concept and designs, and delivering presentation material in the form of power point presentations and other visual media.</li><li>
Developing messages for potentially the entire NGA workforce.</li><li>
Crafting senior messages and talking points.</li><li>
Implementing the HD Strategic Plan.</li><li>
Provide presentation support to Office leadership to include message intent, developing targeted/tailored graphical concept and designs.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li><b>Education / Certifications:</b> One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.<ul><li>
Bachelor Degree in Public Relations or Communication</li></ul></li><li><b>
Required Experience:</b><ul><li>
2+ years' of experience.</li><li>
Experience with providing strategic communications support or speechwriting.</li><li>
At least 12 months demonstrated experienced updating web content and using electronic publishing applications, such as the Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop Illustrator or Adobe Pro.</li><li>
At least 12 months demonstrated experience using AP style writing and editing.</li><li>
At least 24 months demonstrated experience in communications strategy development.</li></ul></li><li><b>
Desired Experience:</b><ul><li>
Knowledge of issues facing NGA, the Intelligence Community, and the Department of Defense.</li><li>
Knowledge of NGA, functions, products and technologies.</li><li>
Must demonstrate strong data gathering and analytical skills. Plans and leads contract sub tasks/projects.</li></ul></li><li><b>

The Aerospace Industries Association&rsquo;s (AIA) communications team is a key driver of the organization&rsquo;s advocacy and outreach strategy, sharing the story of how the aerospace and defense industry contributes to America&rsquo;s safety, security, and economic success.</p><p>
The Manager, Content and Communications is a central storyteller, editor, and content strategist for AIA. This role is responsible for shaping, developing, and maintaining AIA&rsquo;s core written products &mdash; from executive speeches and long-form thought leadership to member-facing content and internal communications &mdash; ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment across audiences and platforms.</p><p>
Working closely with AIA leadership, policy and legislative teams, membership, and internal operations, this position plays a critical role in translating complex policy priorities into compelling, accessible, and strategic content that advances AIA&rsquo;s mission.</p><p>
The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $73,000.</p><p><b><i>
Core Duties and Responsibilities:</i></b></p><p><b>
Strategic Content Development (30%)</b></p><ul><li>
Lead AIA&rsquo;s speechwriting efforts, including drafting, editing, and maintaining a centralized speech bank for senior leadership.</li><li>
Serve as chief editor for AIA&rsquo;s long-form external products, including white papers, reports, policy explainers, and issue briefs developed by AIA&rsquo;s policy teams.</li><li>
Draft and edit longer-form written products such as op-eds, long-form blog posts, CEO bylined articles, and other thought leadership content.</li><li>
Maintain and regularly update off-the-shelf talking points, messaging frameworks, and strategic narratives for use across the organization.</li><li>
Partner with policy and issue-area teams to translate complex subject matter into clear, compelling content for external audiences.</li></ul><p><b>
Digital &amp; Platform Content (25%)</b></p><ul><li>
Serve as the day-to-day lead on drafting compelling social media content, including graphics and video as needed.</li><li>
Spearhead rapid social media response and ensure AIA stays current to the latest social media trends and strategies.</li><li>
Support development and execution of AIA&rsquo;s social media content strategy in coordination with the Manager of Digital Assets.</li><li>

Work collaboratively across the communications team to advance AIA priorities, align messaging, and strengthen the organization&rsquo;s voice.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Minimum of four years in communications, legislative affairs, or trade association experience.</li><li>
Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines</li><li>
Understanding of public policy, advocacy, or trade association communications preferred; Capitol Hill experience a strong plus</li><li>
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>
