<div><p>As a Consultant Anesthesiologist, you will be responsible for delivering expert anesthesia care across a wide range of surgical procedures in accordance with international clinical standards. You will manage patients throughout the perioperative period, ensure optimal pain control, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote patient safety and positive outcomes. The role requires adaptability to Dubai&rsquo;s multicultural environment and compliance with UAE healthcare regulations.<br>
<br>
Job Responsibilities:</p>
<ul><li>
Use intravenous, local, caudal or spinal methods to administer sedation or pain medications during surgical and other medical procedures
</li><li>Supervise patients and monitor their pain medications before, during, and after surgery; offset adverse complications or reactions; record amount and type of anesthesia as well as the patients&rsquo; conditions throughout procedures
</li><li>Determine risk during medical procedures by taking medical histories, examining patients, and ordering diagnostic procedures like x-rays and laboratory tests; discuss with other healthcare professionals about the method and type of anesthetic to make patients numb to pain
</li><li>Provide and sustain airway management and life support during emergency surgery
</li><li>Monitor patients post-surgery and determine when they are stabilized enough to move to another room or go home
</li><li>Manage anesthesiological services and coordinate with other professionals to formulate procedures and plans; direct the duties of medical technicians, nurses, and other healthcare support staff
</li><li>Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and possible complications; instruct on different ways to prevent disease and improve health
</li></ul>
<p>Job Skills &amp; Qualifications Required:</p>

Doctor of Medicine degree
</li><li>Minimum of three years of experience as an anesthesiologist
</li><li>Specialization degree in Anesthesiology
</li><li>Skilled at epidurals, spinals, and ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia

Job Requirements:</div><div> Ochsner Children's Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana is searching for a BC/BE Fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologist, with sub-fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia or experience with Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia. The successful candidate will join a team of 3 Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology Faculty members. Currently our practice includes the full range of congenital cardiac pathology and palliative repairs. We are the only facility in Louisiana that offers pediatric heart transplantation and ventricular assist devices. Our transplant and VAD program is active with ages ranging from infants to teenagers. In New Orleans we service a 54-bed Level III-C NICU and a 26 bed PICU. Our group covers ~250 bypass cases and ~500 cath lab cases per year. We have an extensive Louisiana and Mississippi referral network and are actively expanding our reach with satellite clinics around the area. We also have a robust adult congenital heart population in the surrounding area, one of the many lasting legacies left by Dr. John Ochsner.</div></div><br>

Job Description:</div><div> Daily practice includes the spectrum of pediatric heart disease for cardiac and non-cardiac based procedures. Most days candidate will be covering congenital cardiac cases. Goal of this position is 100% pediatric practice. Adult anesthesia cases are available if desired. We have a tiered called system, and 1st call is divided equally between team members. Post call day off if stay past a specified time. Ample vacation and CME time. Potential to work academic time into schedule. Our team works with a small team of CRNAs with abundant congenital cardiac experience. Ratio is typically 1:1.
