 The Staff Clinical Research Scientist will join the Clinical Science &amp; External Research (CSER) Team responsible for global evidence dissemination of scientific findings from clinical trials and registries sponsored by Johnson &amp; Johnson MedTech Electrophysiology. This associate will play a critical role in the creation and delivery of accurate, high-quality scientific content that communicates clinical and real-world data on the Company&rsquo;s Electrophysiology medical devices. This role is responsible for writing and managing manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations that support peer-reviewed publications and congress activities. The ideal candidate will have strong scientific writing experience, deep familiarity with the cardiovascular and/or electrophysiology clinical landscapes, and a thorough understanding of publication standards, regulatory guidelines, and clinical study design.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:

 Develop and deliver high-quality scientific manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and podium presentations for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentation at major cardiovascular and electrophysiology congresses

 Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams (Clinical, Biostatistics, Medical Affairs, Global Strategic Marketing, Health Economics and Market Access) and external physician authors to ensure accuracy, alignment, and scientific integrity

 Support the strategic publication plan for key products and studies, including first-in-human trials, pivotal studies, indication expansions, postmarket surveillances, and registries
 </li>

 Analyze and interpret clinical data; effectively communicate data using well-structured tables and visually compelling figures

 Adhere to external guidelines and Company policies governing the ethical development of clinical data publications while continuing to look at innovation in publication and scientific communications

POSITION SUMMARY:
Developmental and RNA biology of protozoan pathogens
We are seeking a research scientist to join our projects on the molecular and developmental biology of protozoan pathogens, and on the nature of human immunity to these pathogens. The project uses a combination of complementary genetic, molecular, immunological, and informatic methods, and the scientist will have direct responsibility for research activities in the lab and will also collaborate with the principal investigator to write manuscripts/grant proposals. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in cellular and molecular biology and immunology, especially with respect to protozoan pathogens, and expertise in basic cell, molecular biological, and immunological techniques. Strong written and verbal communication skills, the abilities to establish clear goals, organize and prioritize research, work with a diverse and collaborative team, and thrive within a multi-disciplinary environment are critical.

The Senior Scientist, Pipeline, will work with R&amp;D colleagues to evaluate, develop, and validate clinical devices and molecular biomarkers that enhance disease diagnosis, prognosis, and prediction of therapy response. Key job responsibilities 
<ul><li>Partner with laboratory science teams on design and analysis of experiments</li><li>Originate and lead the development of new data collection workflows with cross-functional partners</li><li>Develop and deploy scalable bioinformatics analysis and QC workflows</li><li>Evaluate and incorporate novel bioinformatic approaches to solve critical business problems</li></ul></div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</h2><ul><li>PhD, or Master's degree and 5+ years of quantitative field research experience</li><li>Experience analyzing both experimental and observational data sets</li><li>Knowledge of R, MATLAB, Python or similar scripting language</li><li>Expertise in genomic sequence analysis, homology search, genome annotation, phylogenomics, and interpretation of those results</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</h2><ul><li>Experience analyzing large-scale biological sequence datasets</li><li>Experience collaborating with cross-functional life sciences teams, including R&amp;D scientists, ML engineers, and lab personnel</li></ul>

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
