<h4 class="jobSectionHeader">
In This Role You Will:</h4>
<ul><li>Prepares each resident for the day and/or night by assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, and activities of daily living</li>
<li>Obtains resident vital signs in accordance with departmental policy; reads and accurately records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight</li>
<li>Promptly and accurately documents all required resident information in the medical record</li>
<li>Responds to resident call lights and other types of requests for assistance in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Addresses resident toileting needs and incontinence issues in accordance with state and federal regulations and infection control procedures.</li>
<li>Provides restorative care and assists non-ambulatory residents with range of motion exercises in accordance with the care plan.</li>
<li>Passes fresh ice water and nourishments to residents within required time frames.</li>
<li>Immediately reports any unusual symptoms, changes, accidents, and/or injuries to the DON or Nursing Supervisor</li>
<li>Facilitate meal service for the residents: transport residents to the dining room; distribute correct meal tray to each resident; assist with feeding, as necessary; deliver meal trays to resident rooms, as required; remove trays from table, prepare and store meal trays for removal</li>
<li>Stocks and obtains necessary supplies and clean nursing equipment (e.g. bedpans, wheelchairs, etc.) in accordance with scheduled duties or as directed.</li></ul> 


Shift Details:

<li>Fulltime Day shift 7a-7p (12hours), every other weekend and some holidays</li>
<li>Fulltime Night shift 7p-7a (12 hours) every other weekend and some holidays</li></ul>

Licensure/Certification:<ul><li>
BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)</li><li>
Must have completed one of the following: (required)
Successful completion of nursing aide training program OR 
Successful passing of STNA State Tested Nurse Aide (required if OH LTC), OR CNA Certified Nurse Aide, OR Nurses Aide state testing or completed a nursing program that had one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation OR 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical setting</li></ul>
Experience:<ul><li>
Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long-term care facility, with a preference for the setting in which they are applying (preferred, not required)</li></ul>
Skills &amp; Abilities:<ul><li>
Possesses problem-solving skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>
Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner</li><li>
Ability to be proactive in a rapidly changing environment</li></ul>
