 Position Overview</h3>
The Commissary Stocker performs quality shelf-stocking services to ensure merchandise is properly displayed, rotated, and available for customers while maintaining a clean and safe sales environment.<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
 Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>
Stock merchandise on shelves and displays accurately</li><li>
Move products from storage to the sales floor</li><li>
Transfer excess inventory to designated overwrite areas</li><li>
Rotate merchandise according to expiration dates</li><li>
Repair torn or loose merchandise labels</li><li>
Dust and clean shelves prior to stocking</li><li>
Break down and remove cardboard from the sales area</li><li>
Perform janitorial duties (restrooms, sweeping, mopping, trash removal)</li><li>
Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned</li><li>
Maintain flexibility to cover other shifts when needed</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">

Education: High School Diploma or GED</li><li>

Department of Homeland Security / E-Verify</li><li>
Key Management Personnel Secret Clearance (Defense Security Service)</li><li>
Ability to obtain and maintain NACI or NCICS Clearance (Federal position)</li><li>

Follow all safety guidelines and operating procedures.</li><li>

Unload, break-out and stock merchandise with efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>
Listen to customer needs; ask appropriate follow-up questions to ensure you offer appropriate products that meet the specific need of the customer</li><li>
Under close supervision of the stockroom manager or other designated supervisor, replenishes stock on the sales floor as part of the early morning stocking crew. Performs a variety of manual tasks involving moderately heavy physical effort.</li></ul>

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
<ul><li>Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.</li>
<li>Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee&rsquo;s designated department or elsewhere in the store.</li>

Physical Requirements:
<ul><li>Must be able to physically perform very heavy work, exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.</li>
<li>Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.</li>
<li>Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.</li>
</ul>Working Conditions :
This position is exposed to dirt, noise, equipment movement hazard, and chemicals/solvents daily. This position is also occasionally exposed to temperature extremes and the potential for electrical shock.
Equipment Used to Perform Job:
Power jack, compactor, order machine, check register, forklift, scales, and Tomra machines.
Financial Responsibility :
Responsible for supplies, stock, and for checking the cooler.
