Maintain American Welding Society certification on a 1-inch plate in flat position using the gas metal arc welding and flux-cored arc welding processes</li><li>
Adequately operate a cutting torch</li><li>
Adjust the welder to ensure proper feed rate and temperature</li><li>
Properly operate forklifts, jib hoists, and overhead cranes</li><li>
Learn and use hand signals for crane operation</li><li>
Read, understand, and follow cutting lists, shop orders, and shop drawings</li><li>

The fillet weld break test using the gas metal arc welding process</li><li>
A basic welding test that covers shop drawing interpretation, weld symbols, welding processes, weld process symbol interpretation/application, and a visual acuity test</li><li>
A fitting test that covers shop drawing interpretation, fractional number calculations, basic geometry, etc.</li></ul><p>

Manually guides electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molten puddle.</li><li>

The Welder will use specialized equipment to weld and assemble new metal forms. The right candidate must have 2-5 years of welding experience and know how to use power tools, grinders, and cutting tools. Candidate must be able to weld and fabricate product from mechanical drawings, diagrams and blueprints. You must also follow OSHA safety guidelines as well as have the ability to lift up to 50lbs. We require our welders to weld with precision while applying appropriate welding techniques on various metals.
