Support the New Student Welcome Experience by contributing to the Online Experience and virtual New Student and Transfer Student Orientations, as well as supporting the Course Registration and Enrollment Management Process and collaborative Spring and Fall Welcome initiatives and programs.</li><li>
Lead all aspects of planning and assessing a 1-day Graduate Student Orientation during Fall Welcome, in partnership with the Graduate School.</li><li>
Support all event management logistics including room reservations and scheduling, catering and dining requests as well as outsourced rentals and contracts.</li><li>
Oversee budgetary management for all associated finances and purchases, totaling approximately $1 million annually.</li><li>

Student Development and Leadership</b></div><div><ul><li>
Teach one section of a 1 credit Journey Leader course and provide feedback on course content during the annual curriculum review.</li><li>
Supervise 3-5 Journey Leader Mentors, who are employed on a full-year contract cycle to support NSFP professional staff in all programming and Journey Leader training.</li><li>
Contribute to and co-facilitate a robust Journey Leader and Journey Leader Mentor training and development program for onboarding and year-round leadership development.</li><li>
Contribute to the annual recruitment and selection process for Journey Leaders and Journey Leader Mentors.</li><li>
Develop and implement event-specific training and documents that provide up-to-date information to ensure accurate information sharing about their roles and responsibilities.</li><li>

Impact</p><br>

The Scholar Program Coordinator is responsible for case management and program coordination to ensure Generation Hope Scholars are participating in healthy mentoring relationships and are on track to graduation.</p><p></p><p><br>
The Scholar Program Coordinator will have an external impact in the following ways:</p><div><br>
<ul><li>Providing involved support to teen parents attending colleges across the DFW metro area.</li><li>Assisting with the planning of engaging program activities for Scholars, their children, and volunteer mentors (i.e. Sponsors).</li><li>Ensuring Generation Hope is building and sustaining key community partners by conducting partner research and representing Generation Hope to nonprofits, donors, students, and various other constituent groups.</li><li>Providing program evaluation support and progress reports to ensure Generation Hope is meeting its program goals.</li><li>Driving the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding of a diverse cohort of Scholars and Sponsors (Mentors) in alignment with strategic plan targets, ensuring all documentation is secured and Sponsors are committed to meeting annual tuition funding requirements ($1,200 or $2,400, annually)</li></ul></div><p></p><p><br>
Primary Responsibilities:</p><div><br>
<ul><li>Support a caseload of 10-15 Generation Hope Scholars, all of whom are teen parents in college, in the Scholar program, providing holistic case management including, but not limited to:</li></ul>
o Academic planning<br>
o Assistance with navigating the college system, such as financial aid and transferring to a 4-year school<br>
o Making referrals for Scholars and assisting them in accessing government and community services<br>
o Providing emotional support<br>
<ul><li>Ensure our Scholars receive consistent and supportive mentoring through our robust mentoring program by supervising the mentoring relationships within your caseload, including addressing areas of conflict or challenge among Scholars and their mentors (i.e. Sponsors) in a productive, sensitive way that maintains and improves the</li></ul>
Scholar/Sponsor relationship<br>
<ul><li>Maintain accurate program records through program database to ensure thorough program evaluation</li><li>Assist with organizing and planning various program events, such as field trips, social events, and trainings</li><li>Annually reach all Scholar and Sponsor (Mentor) recruitment targets established by Generation Hope leadership, guided by Generation Hope&rsquo;s strategic plan.</li><li>Track the submission of all required documentation for incoming Scholars and Sponsors (Mentors)</li><li>Support the Director of Dallas Programming in recruiting a diverse group of Sponsors (Mentors) that reflects the diversity of the Scholar community, including ensuring that Sponsors are able to provide funding for their Scholar&rsquo;s tuition ($1,200 or $2,400 annually)</li><li>Maintain professional and technical knowledge in order to exercise greater discretion and decision making by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul></div><p></p><p><br>

Minimum Requirements<br>
