Position Title: Subcontract Program Manager

Position Overview:

The Subcontract Program Manager (SPM) is responsible for end-to-end execution and performance of subcontracted scope across programs, ensuring alignment to cost, schedule, technical, and risk objectives. 


This role serves as the primary interface between Iris and its subcontractors/suppliers, owning delivery performance and ensuring subcontracted work is fully integrated into overall program execution. 


The SPM may manage subcontract efforts independently or lead major subcontract workstreams within larger programs under the guidance of a Senior Program Manager. This role is critical to ensuring supplier performance, risk management, and execution discipline, particularly in early production and first article environments.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Qualifications:

<li>S. Person/Permanent Resident</li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required; technical discipline (EE, ME, SE) or related technical field preferred; Master&rsquo;s degree a plus</li>
<li>5-10 years of program management, supply chain or subcontract management</li>
<li>Experience with engineering in aerospace, defense, or complex technology development environment. Experience in hardware electronics design/development/testing highly preferred</li>

Have a general understanding of the business case and an appreciation of financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implications related to construction contracts specifically and indirectly to future construction contracts.</li><li>
May oversee Contract Administrators and other Contracts Managers providing supervision, guidance, training, and/or mentorship.</li></ul> 
Requirements:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree Required; Master&rsquo;s Degree Preferred; Some college business classes required, if not a business related degree.</li><li>
Minimum 8 yrs experience in contracts administration and/or management with at least 5 years overseeing large construction projects over $25M with multiple subcontractors and stakeholders.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience with construction contract change management including differing site conditions, design changes during construction, and engineering conflicts/changes; negotiated changes over $1M with multiple engineering, stakeholder, and schedule impacts.</li><li>

The selected candidate will provide Engineering Services support for MDCS along with the Fielding &amp; Sustainment (F&amp;S) and Operations &amp; Management (O&amp;M) contracts.

Position Summary:
The Business Manager is responsible for leading the full spectrum of program business and financial management activities, with a strong emphasis on successful planning, monitoring, and management of a cost-plus contract.
