The Subsea Engineer applies their conceptual knowledge of Subsea and with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, is responsible for solving a range of straightforward Subsea problems. The Subsea Engineer understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.</div>

 <div>Key Tasks and Responsibilities
<ul><li>Perform Installation Analysis for SURF projects using industry-standard software
</li><li>Provide specialist skills and knowledge in the areas related to engineering and analysis including design codes related to Subsea engineering including installation engineering
</li><li>Coordinate and engage in daily activities and schedule priorities for Subsea Engineering
</li><li>Tender engineering support with emphasis on document review, preparation of subcontractor documents, CTR preparation, bid evaluation, and vendor selection
</li><li>Support Subsea projects and address various requirements for procurement, design, and installation engineering/analysis
</li><li>Assume responsibility for technical reports, design calculations, engineering analysis, and interface with third parties including subcontractors and verification bodies
</li><li>Required to attend and prepare for project progress meetings and departmental meetings
</li><li>Adhere to the safety and legal objectives of the company
</li><li>Training and mentoring of graduates and junior engineers
</li><li>Support in the development of knowledge in the area of design and analysis related to Subsea
</li><li>Understand client requirements and develop solutions to address them, satisfying necessary codes and specifications
</li><li>Take personal responsibility for design, analysis, and technical documentation
</li><li>Liaise with operational engineer to support project engineering and be available for site visits and offshore trips when necessary
</li><li>Develop basic knowledge of McDermott's business units and interactions including engineering, fabrication, and marine functions
</li><li>Develop advanced skills in the use of standard productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
</li><li>Understand and apply standards and procedures
</li><li>Capture project lessons learned into McDermott&rsquo;s Lessons Learned system
</li><li>Participate in internal, customer, or third-party technical audits on engineering deliverables and vendor documents

 <div>Essential Qualifications and Education
<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering
</li><li>3-8 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant predominantly performing detail design Experience related to design and analysis of subsea equipment including risers, pipeline, subsea structures and umbilical
</li><li>Experience with industry-standard software packages for design and installation analysis (E.g., Orcaflex, Pipelay, Offpipe, Abaqus)
</li><li>Experience with industry-commonly used codes and standards for subsea engineering
</li><li>Good organization and communication skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet project deadlines
</li><li>Working knowledge of English, both oral and written
</li><li>HSE, TQM, and cost-conscious
</li><li>Show flexibility and ensure proper hand-over with regards to:
