 We are seeking an experienced Lead Substation Engineer to support and guide the design of high voltage substation projects across the country. This role involves technical leadership, coordination, and hands on engineering for 12 kV to 500 kV substation, transmission, and distribution projects in both traditional engineering design and EPC environments. As a Lead Substation Engineer, you will oversee the development of substation physical and/or protection &amp; control designs from early conceptual stages through detailed engineering and construction support. You&rsquo;ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure that project deliverables meet technical, quality, and schedule expectations.

  Responsibilities

   Lead the engineering and design of greenfield and brownfield substations, including equipment layout, bus configurations, grounding, lightning protection, and control building arrangements.

   Oversee development of key design documents such as:

Job Description</b></p><p>
o Technical activities related to Electrical Design, Engineering of HV/MV/LV Power Control Room / Modular Substation / E-House / Pre-fabrication substation / Substation Building) by various software, including but not limited to the following:</p><p>
o Yield a safe, quality and cost-effective design/product in a timely manner as per client&rsquo;s requirements.</p><p>
o Perform and prepare HV/MV/LV Substation Electrical &amp; Instrumentation design calculation including lighting, grounding, shielding, battery and battery charger sizing, station service transformer sizing, and relevant drawings and documents.</p><p>
o Prepare electrical layout drawings (general equipment arrangement, lighting, grounding, shielding, cable routing, etc.)</p><p>
o Perform interfacing, design review and validation of PSA, DCS, Fire Alarm, Communication, Data and telephone system.</p><p>
o Prepare bill of material, documents and drawings, etc.</p><p>
o Select and evaluate related material and components, e.g. lighting fixtures, panel boards, HV/MV/LV cables, MCTs, grounding busbars, shielding mast, surge arrestor, etc.</p><br>

Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Communications / Mechatronics Engineering.</li><li>
Minimum 5 years work experience in the field of Electrical &amp; Instrumentation Design / Engineering of HV/MV/LV Substation for the Utility or Oil &amp; Gas industry (e.g. National Grid / Saudi Electricity Company, Saudi Aramco, SABIC, Royal Commissioning, etc.)</li><li>
Power system protection &amp; control, by using various design/engineering software, i-eDilux, ETAP, Multigrid, etc.</li><li>
AutoCAD / MicroStation, etc.</li><li>
Technical knowledge / expertise related to electrical design / engineering of HV/MV/LV Substations. Strong skills in Design Application Software &amp; AutoCAD / MicroStation</li><li>
Proficient in English.</li></ul></div><p></p>
