General Purpose:
Loads and unloads trucks when not moving trailers in and out of docks according to the needs of the facility, which also include the following duties;
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Must have yard jockey test before they are able to operate solo.</li><li>Properly moving trailers on our property, while abiding to our 10 mile an hour speed limit.</li><li>Performing any load status yard checks as required by facility.</li><li>Visually completing safety and road worthiness of trailers on our property.</li><li>Red tag trailers if needed.</li><li>Must obey any and all applicable traffic laws and facility procedures.</li><li>Yearly MVR back ground checks.</li><li>Participating in continuous improvement processes.</li><li>Maintain an effective Preventative Maintenance Inspections.</li><li>Very physical and fast pace work environment while remaining focused on safety at all times.</li><li>Clean tops of the trailers in inclement weather conditions.</li></ul>
General Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:<ul><li>Previous switching experience is a plus.</li><li>Must be comfortable in working in all weather conditions.</li><li>You must be available to work overtime and weekends if needed.</li><li>Safe driving record is required.</li><li>Must have good people skills when communicating with fellow team members and drivers.</li><li>Capability to stand and move frequently while performing repetitive assembly tasks.</li><li>Possess a collaborative, team-driven attitude. It is essential to establish a good working relationship and hold the carrier accountable in accordance with their standard operating procedures. Review yard driver schedules to ensure they meet operational requirements.</li><li>
Review invoice submissions and reports for any outliers (fuel, weekly submission).</li><li>
