You'll ensure the successful deployment of Supplier Quality Assurance requirements in product and process development for purchased parts, while leading and supporting problem-solving initiatives for escalated warranty issues. Day-to-day, you&rsquo;ll work closely with cross-functional teams across procurement, quality, engineering, and projects, manage SPQD engineers, and drive supplier development activities, and much more.

You&rsquo;ll specifically take care of ensuring the delivery of project quality activities for critical purchased parts, but also manage the SPQD team to align with global and regional strategies.

Supplier Manager

<div>The SQE is responsible for managing and improving supplier quality performance to ensure purchased materials, components, and services meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements. Position Overview
SubCom is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quality Manager to join our team. As a GM Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), your core responsibility is the execution of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process. This typically includes review of program progress to milestones and identifying/mitigating risks to GM and our customers. You will also assure supplier understanding of, and compliance to, APQP processes such as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Quality plans (Control Plans, FMEA), and Run at Rate verification.

Position Summary:

IEM is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for our Jacksonville, FL. locations and will report into the Director of Quality. The top priorities of this position will be to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, as well as implement Vendor Management program and supporting metrics. Significant involvement with all areas of vendors/suppliers and manufacturing, while also increasing our communication and collaboration with key departments is instrumental in this position.

Please note: This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Jacksonville, FL. offices and does not offer remote work. 
 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
<ul><li>Ensuring suppliers for IEM maintains all regulations and requirements</li>
<li>Updating the supplier database with continuously updated records of performance</li>
<li>Creating quality control guidelines and protocols</li>
<li>Providing advice to vendors on how to reduce defect rates</li>
<li>Performing logistics tasks, such as communicating with vendors when supplies don't meet quality standards</li>
<li>Assessing products and supplies from vendors to ensure their quality</li>
<li>Creating and promoting strategies to increase the quality and efficiency of systems and products</li>
<li>Conducting audits of supplier management quality systems</li>
<li>Acting as a liaison between vendors and company leaders, determining solutions to any challenges to quality standards</li>
<li>Visiting vendor facilities to ensure they uphold quality standards</li>
<li>Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors</li>
<li>Oversee and develop process improvements strategies and document</li>
<li>Develop &amp; implement Vendor Management program and supporting metrics</li>
<li>Any other related duties in connection with the position including but not limited to:</li>
<li>Risk Assessments, PFMEA, Six Sigma, 5S, FOD Prevention, Kaizen, IPC Standards</li>
<li>Understanding of UL, CSA and other regulatory requirements</li>
<li>Must abide by Health and Safety Rules and have demonstrated commitment to good housekeeping/organizational practices</li>
<li>Responsible for compliance to company and regulatory standards</li>
<li>Maintain and develop strong working relationships with other departments outside vendors</li>
<li>Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the work environment, this includes active participation in company committees, project teams and relevant job training</li>
