 The Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist &ndash; Supply Chain at GHC is responsible for streamlining and improving the end-to-end supply chain processes within the organization. This role involves identifying performance gaps, eliminating waste, standardising processes and driving measurable, sustainable improvements across procurement, planning, logistics, warehousing and supplier management, This position involves implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize our supply chain activities including cost efficiency, service levels, compliance, lead times and operational resilience, as well as overseeing supplier performance through data analyses to support business objectives. Actively identifying and implementing improvements across various functions. Fostering continuous improvement by eliminating waste and inefficiencies within the Supply Chain Organization, ensuring measurable and sustainable improvements in service levels.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Create business cases for sourcing strategies and create presentations for the business cases
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with suppliers for strategic sourcing solutions or continuous improvement and negotiate the contracts
 </li>
 <li>
 Use data analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement across the supply chain processes (procurement, inventory, logistics and supplier management) aligned with industry best practice.
 </li>
 <li>
 Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate procurement, inventory &amp; logistics service levels and supplier performance against established KPIs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Implement best practices for supply chain efficiency, order processing, and supplier relationship management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify areas for improvement within the supply chain and operational processes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop, implement, and manage supply chain continuous improvement projects aligned to business and financial objectives using methodologies such as 5S, VSM, Lean Six Sigma, or Kaizen and report progress on a periodic basis.
 </li>
 <li>
 Facilitate process improvement workshops and initiatives involving cross-functional teams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Define MRP/ERP system deficiencies, areas of improvement, and coordinate implementation of the improvement initiatives with IT department and other stakeholders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyse supply chain and operational data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
 </li>
 <li>
 Generate reports to provide insights and recommendations for process enhancements and waste reductions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify and assess problematic suppliers, part numbers, or materials that have historically caused delays, quality issues, or increased costs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with relevant teams to develop strategies for addressing and improving the performance of these suppliers or parts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct thorough data analyses to assess supplier performance against established KPIs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify underperforming suppliers and work with them to improve their performance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate within the supply chain organization to evaluate and select potential new suppliers based on performance data.
 </li>
 <li>
 Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring a reliable source of materials.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to control material costs and find opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
 </li>
 <li>
 Optimize budgeting and cost control efforts to align with company goals.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assessing and quantify the positive impact of continuous improvement efforts and present the impact to management and implement process improvements and changes, tracking key performance indicators to measure the impact.
 </li>

 Regularly assess and document the benefits realized from process enhancements, such as cost savings, reduced lead times, improved service levels, and increased operational efficiency.
 </li>
 <li>
 Standardize and document supply chain processes to ensure consistency and compliance with regulations and company policies.
 </li>

 Continuously improve technical skills in GHC MRP and ERP systems.
 </li>

 Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.2. Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, and continuous improvement initiatives, preferably in the aviation or MRO industry.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experienced professional with relevant certifications on Process Improvement methodologies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in using MRP (AMOS) / ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong knowledge of aviation materials, parts, and regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Advanced Excel, BI, ERP reporting tools).

Summary
This position supports the Ryder Continuous Improvement culture across the Business Unit/Vertical by actively promoting and facilitating the use of continuous improvement methods to support new and existing operations. The Manager will manage the CI resources across multiple operations to influence, drive, and manage change through data driven CI, Engineering, and Automation efforts to deliver higher levels of performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth. Effectively leverage data analytics, engineering methodologies, and all Ryder lean tools to enable root cause identification and elimination. This high influence position will interface with employees at all levels and functions across the business. This position reports to the CI Director or Sr. CI Manager and is closely aligned with a Director of Operations.

</ul>Essential Functions
<ul><li>Supervise a team of continuous improvement engineering and quality professionals. Lead employment decisions (hire, promote, coach, development) and manage performance. Manages multiple and complex Supply Chain projects. Regularly interacts with Senior Management and/or customer(s).</li>
<li>Lead the development and execution of strategy, scorecarding and key performance indicator action plans. Work with Operational leadership to conduct assessments of critical site and business needs. Ensure the development of a thorough, effective and timely continuous improvement plan to address the top business needs at Ryder sites. Ensure process improvement activities are driven to achieve dramatic improvement in key business metrics. Provide regular reports of data and actions to measure progress against performance and business objectives.</li>
<li>Provide training, coaching, and mentoring: must be able to translate all Ryder Business System concepts to local situations and help individuals, teams, and managers develop understanding and application of tools for sustainable business improvements. Coach business owners to use Engineering, Data Analysis and Lean methods to achieve operational excellence. Support start-ups, retrofits and expansions including pricing inputs, go-live and steady state certifications.</li>
<li>Develop advanced competency in a wide range of engineering methods, data analysis, Lean tools, and quality standards and coach employees in their use. Ensures methodologies/tools such as product slotting, labor standards (time studies), layouts, optimization of flow, data profiling and analysis, automation, data analytics, and resource modeling are utilized to improve distribution and/or transportation operations.</li>
<li>Effective facilitation and execution of Value Stream Maps &amp; Kaizen Events through all stages (A3 charter creation, pre-work identification and completion, delivery of results, regular follow up and follow through on sustainment). Independently identifies process gaps and recommends and leads CI Team to implement process improvement. Manage, track, and report the progress and value of the transformational activities and projects across customer accounts. Direct the assessment, development, implementation, and continuous improvement activities related to the implementation of lean processes across accounts.</li>
