Position Summary
The Vice President, Global Operations &amp; Supply Chain leads end-to-end manufacturing, supply chain, and materials management across BECLS&rsquo; global network&mdash;currently San Jose, CA; Loveland, CO; Indianapolis, IN; Marseilles, France; Aachen, Germany; Bangalore, India; Suzhou, China&mdash;and oversees key contract manufacturing partnerships
The role sets global operations strategy, drives world-class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Working Capital (SQDC+W), and ensures scalable commercial and NPI/NPD execution. Success requires deep Lean/DBS leadership, cross-functional orchestration, and an inclusive, people-first culture that accelerates innovation and growth.

The Vice President, Global Operations and Supply Chain is a key operating member of BECLS&rsquo; global Senior Leadership Team (SLT). As such, he or she will participate in all the SLT&rsquo;s management meetings, including monthly staff meetings, policy deployment meetings and new product development meetings. This position will play a central role in contributing to the business&rsquo; strategy.
Responsibilities
The Vice President, Global Operations and Supply Chain will manage a team of ~ 700 people. The role reports to the President of the business and will require ~ 30-50+% travel (global facilities &amp; partners) with significant time in our manufacturing facilities. This leader will cultivate and sustain a culture of outstanding operational performance across all operations functions, and support the President and the SLT in this endeavor across the enterprise.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Global Operations Strategy &amp; Transformation:<ul><li>
Set and execute the global manufacturing and supply chain strategy, aligning site networks, capacity, and footprint for growth, resilience, and cost competitiveness.</li><li>
Harmonize processes and governance across sites to ensure consistent performance and scalability.</li><li>
Lead digital manufacturing / Industry 4.0 initiatives (automation, advanced analytics, connected equipment, traceability) to improve productivity, quality, and decision speed.</li></ul>
Operational Excellence:<ul><li>
Drive Cost productivity through Lean conversion, value stream optimization, and cost optimization initiatives.</li><li>
Optimize Working Capital while protecting service and risk posture.</li><li>
Improve Delivery reliability via constraint management, SIOP, and network synchronization.</li><li>
Own global EH&amp;S system maturity and leading indicators to continuously reduce injuries and risks.</li></ul>
NPI Technology Transfer &amp; Scale Up:<ul><li>
Ensure manufacturing readiness for new products and seamless global transfers across sites / contract manufacturers.</li><li>
Integrate operations early in product lifecycle to hit launch SQDC targets and accelerate time-to-value.</li></ul>
Supply Chain &amp; External Manufacturing:<ul><li>
Partner with Supply Chain &amp; QRA to build a resilient supplier ecosystem, improve OTD/quality, and mitigate geopolitical, logistics, and single-source risk.</li><li>
Govern contract manufacturers (SLAs, quality systems, cost, capacity) and ensure IP, compliance, and responsiveness.</li></ul>
Enterprise Integration &amp; Program Leadership:<ul><li>
Act as an enterprise integrator across Operations &amp; Supply Chain, R&amp;D, Quality/Regulatory, Product Management, Commercial, Marketing, Service, Strategy, DBS, HR, Finance, and Legal&mdash;aligning priorities, resources, and roadmaps.</li><li>
Run cross-functional operating cadences (strategy deployment/hoshin, tiered daily management, program reviews) with clear metrics, risk registers, and countermeasures.</li></ul>
Talent, Culture &amp; Leadership:<ul><li>
Build a strong global leadership bench: hire, coach, and develop site and functional leaders; establish succession for critical roles.</li><li>

 This executive position is responsible for leading the supply chain and operations of a nationwide network of 17 manufacturing facilities with approximately 4000 employees. The position insures reliable predictable performance allowing the organization to grow revenue, market share and profit sustainably.
 
 
 This position will report to the President of Michael Foods and will oversee and manage Supply Chain (Planning, Transportation, Warehousing) and Operations (Production, Continuous Improvement, Food Safety Quality, Engineering, Asset Reliability/Maintenance) to maximize Safety, Product Quality, Customer Service and Efficiency. Must be an effective leader that builds strong relationships with staff and peers. Utilizes strong analytical and technical skills to develop effective and creative solutions to business challenges. Collaborates with Commercial leadership and functions to coordinate overall network capacity in alignment with sales growth strategies.
 
 
 
 
 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Oversees the creation, revision, and installation of strategic and tactical plans that provide the direction and focus needed to achieve business objectives, including employee safety and food safety/quality.

 Directs supply chain and operation leadership staff; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

 Continuously assesses operations via a comprehensive set of key performance indicators.  Identifies asset reconfiguration needs, creates, and executes action plans to insure consistent, reliable plant performance and operational readiness of equipment through proper maintenance, new equipment evaluation and techniques.

 Coordinates with the cross-functional business team to identify and implement the enhancements to products and systems to maximize profitability and product quality goals.

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 
 
 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university.
 </li>
 <li>
 15+ years of manufacturing experience, progressing through various levels of responsibility.
 </li>
 <li>
 5+ years directing multiple manufacturing sites.
 </li>
 <li>
 Previous experience in leading teams, managing manufacturing processes, production planning, strategic planning, dealing with complexity in food manufacturing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated financial management and achievement of productivity targets.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated record of accomplishment achieving results against a comprehensive set of KPIs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent problem solving and reasoning skills required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to analyze downtime and financial variance trends, identifying actions to deliver expected performance.
