 Project Overview
 
 
 
 Nicholas O&rsquo;Dwyer is providing Technical Assistance and Supervision services for a key water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Gaziantep, Ad&inodot;yaman, and Kilis provinces in Turkey. The programme includes the design, construction supervision, and operational planning of drinking water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and network rehabilitation. The work places a strong emphasis on sustainability, institutional capacity building, and resilience.
 
 
 
 About The Role
 
 
 
 Nicholas O'Dwyer is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the contract and cost management activities of water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Turkey. The role will assist Senior Quantity Surveyor with payment certification, measurement of works, and documentation related to financial monitoring of contracts.
 
 
 
 Main Duties And Responsibilities

 Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required
 
 
 
 <ul>

 A 3rd level degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline is required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum of 8 years&rsquo; professional experience and a minimum of 3 years in quantity surveying or cost control role on Water or Wastewater infrastructure projects.

 Knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions and cost management principles is preferred.

 Experience in EU or other international funded projects.

<div>The Surveyor II is an intermediate-level position for an individual under the supervision and guidance of experienced field surveyors. The Surveyor II&rsquo;s primary function is to examine and report on vessels and other marine structures during and after construction relative to compliance with the applicable requirements for maintaining the vessel in Classification with ABS and meeting associated statutory and special service requirements related to Safety of Life at Sea, Loadline, Tonnage, Cargo Gear and Pollution Prevention Certification. 
 
What You Will Do: (With the assistance and guidance of an experienced ABS Surveyor)
<ul><li>Acts as a professional specialist for the organization in the application of related rules, regulations, requirements, concepts, principles, and processes.

Working Conditions:
Travel to and from survey sites and manufacturing plants going aboard various marine vessels, offshore platforms, or structures. Some work may be performed in an office environment. Some work may be performed in confined spaces, and it may be necessary to climb vertical ladders of various heights, and construction staging of various heights. The use of small tools and the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), in accordance with ABS safety procedures, may be required.</div>
