JOB PURPOSE:</div>

Under the direct supervision of the CDC Director, you are responsible for meeting the developmental needs of children two through three years of age in a group setting. Floaters work in the classroom where they are needed and may have some kitchen responsibilities. Responsibilities include providing a safe and secure environment and maintaining positive relations and communications with families, partnership agencies and program staff. All staff are representatives of the philosophy, mission and goal of the YMCA and its youth development programs. Staff must strive to work cooperatively with fellow employees to achieve the goals and objectives of the YMCA.

Attend mandatory training on abuse prevention, including recognizing signs of abuse, and reporting requirements.</li><li>

Required:
<ul><li>
High school diploma</li><li>
CDA</li><li>
Must be at least 21 years of age and have experience working with ages birth - 3 years</li><li>
Possess a command of spoken and written English to serve as a language role model.</li><li>
CPR/AED, First Aid and O2 Certification or willingness to obtain desired.</li><li>
Experience managing groups of young children.</li><li>
Meet all Health Department Guidelines</li></ul> 


Preferred:
<ul><li>
Minimum of 6 months experience working in a licensed childcare program.</li><li>
Excellent organizational skills.</li><li>
Preferably one or more years of college in a related field (i.e. early childhood, child development, psychology, etc.)</li><li>
Knowledge and ability to implement creative and developmentally appropriate curriculum.</li><li>
Understand the nature of the YMCA as a membership organization</li><li>
Bilingual - English/Spanish</li></ul></div>
