POSITION DESCRIPTION 
The Safety Manager collaborates closely with the EHS team to foster a proactive and positive safety culture across Janicki Industries. This role engages with employees at all levels of the organization, promoting adherence to internal policies as well as local, state, and federal regulations.

Key responsibilities include identifying workplace hazards, implementing preventative measures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. The Safety Site Manager leads safety training initiatives, conducts audits, and maintains clear communication with leadership and staff to drive continuous improvement in environmental, health, and safety protocols. This role is integral to creating a safe, sustainable, and compliant work environment while embodying Janicki&rsquo;s commitment to employee well-being and operational excellence.

The following essential job functions are performed as an Safety Site Manager:

<li>Ensures full compliance with federal, state, local, and company safety regulations in collaboration with operations teams</li>
<li>Works closely with operations management to effectively oversee safety at Janicki</li>
<li>Monitors processes for adherence to OSHA and L&amp;I guidelines</li>
<li>Analyzes data, prepares reports, and communicates findings to senior management</li>
<li>Oversee hazardous waste activities and accumulation areas to ensure compliance</li>
<li>Audits and evaluates compliance with stormwater and air quality permits</li>
<li>Continuously enhances JI's safety programs</li>
<li>Reviews workplace safety incident report and leads team-based investigations</li>
<li>Conducts root cause analyses of EHS-related incidents, assigns corrective actions, and tracks progress</li>
<li>Promotes EHS awareness through internal communications and training</li>
<li>Manages relationships with workers' compensation providers, medical resources, and employees</li>
<li>Provides support for safety programs such as Energy Control, Fall Protection, Ergonomics,</li>
<li>Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space Entry, and Crane/Forklift Operations</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned</li>
<li>Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in the English language</li>

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent industry experience may substitute for education requirements</li>
<li> 4+ years of relevant experience in EHS management or a related role, preferably in a manufacturing or construction setting</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with ergonomics, claims management, and safety program implementation</li>
<li>Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and L&amp;I regulations and compliance standards</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using PLM systems (e.g., SAP/ECTR) is a plus</li>
<li>Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review and interpret data, prepare reports, and make informed decisions</li>

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

<li>Salary range for this role is between $90,000 - $130,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The Associate Manager Safety Data and PV Systems will lead deliverables for GPS (Global Patient Safety) Safety Data Management and Safety System Maintenance activities. They should provide high quality data outputs for Safety Signal Management, Risk Management and Safety Evidence generation and will collaborate and co-create with client functions and applicable vendors as required for seamless GPS Safety Data and Systems operations.
A day in the Life:<ul><li>
Manages and monitors applicable GPS mailboxes including unblinded data</li><li>
Serve as the key technical resource for the configuration, maintenance, and administration of the Oracle Argus Safety system.</li><li>
Support day-to-day operation and troubleshooting of Argus Safety application to ensure reliable and compliant drug safety case processing.</li><li>
Assist in system validation, testing, and deployment of Argus Safety system updates, workflows, and business rules.</li><li>
Generate, validate, and customize safety reports and analytics using Argus reporting tools and associated business intelligence platforms.</li><li>
Collaborate closely with the pharmacovigilance, clinical, and regulatory teams to ensure safety data management aligns with global regulatory standards (FDA, EMA, PMDA, ICH).</li><li>
Participate in change management processes to enhance Argus Safety system workflows and system integrations.</li><li>
Contribute to audit readiness activities, including system inspections, validation reports, and compliance documentation.</li><li>
Collaborates with internal systems team, BIS and Safety vendor on issues related to Safety database configurations</li><li>
Performs the generation and quality control of aggregate reports and line listings</li><li>
Initiates and contributes to the development of procedural documents including but not limited to Safety Management Plans, SOPs, work instructions, job aides, forms, or templates</li><li>
Collaborates and co-creates with applicable client functions (e.g. Medical Information, Data Management, Business Information Systems, Quantitative Science) in regards to pharmacovigilance technical aspects, setup and operation</li><li>
Keeps up-to-date on applicable regulatory and PV tech guidelines and shares within GPS and client as applicable.</li><li>
Participates in training related to safety data management</li><li>
Proactively reviews processes and tools and provides suggestions for improvement and better efficiencies</li><li>
Complete additional task and projects as assigned by line manager or Head of GPS Operations / designee.</li></ul>
Education:<ul><li>
At least Bachelors&rsquo; degree (or country equivalent) in life sciences / Information technology or other relevant field required</li><li>
Solid knowledge of global (EU/US/Asia Pac) pharmacovigilance requirements and practices required</li><li>
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in IT / Safety / Clinical Research / Pharmacovigilance overall with at least 3 years of proven experience with safety database systems (e.g. ARGUS or ArisG) including workflow management</li><li>
Equivalent and adequate combination of education and experience or proven practical expertise in all of the required skills</li></ul>
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:<ul><li>
Good knowledge of relevant pharmacovigilance regulatory requirements and guidance documents (including Europe, US, Japan)</li><li>
Adequate computer skills in all current office applications</li><li>
Proficiency with Excel is required, experience with SQL is a plus</li><li>
Proficiency in Safety Database systems (e.g. Argus) and knowledge of other technical systems applicable to Safety /Pharmacovigilance (e.g. E2B gateway, safety signal detection tools and systems).</li><li>
Proficiency in electronic systems commonly used for Safety / PV, like for data visualization and analysis, dashboards</li><li>
Robust understanding of the end to end process of clinical and post-marketing safety event collection and reporting including of workflow based case processing and MedDRA dictionary</li><li>
Solid understanding of the development and submission of aggregate safety reports (e.g. DSUR, PSUR)</li><li>
Solid understanding of the quality management processes, metrics and KPIs</li><li>
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate successfully across functions and with vendors</li><li>
Fluent communication in written and spoken English required</li><li>
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and prioritize effectively</li><li>
Ability to complete multiple complex deliverables within tight timelines</li><li>

 Job Accountabilities
 
 
 
 Coordination with Panel Engineers, Field Engineers and other departments to ensure safety, reliability and smooth running of process operation in shifts; Execution of the normal and critical operations of shift for day to day activities targeting for quality &amp; quantity of production of process systems ; adherence to safety measures and procedures by shift crew; and ensure Incident-free operations; Ensuring safe shut down and handing over of the equipment for maintenance and start up; Monitoring of chemical consumption during steady state operations and implementation of the best practices in process units; Operations Management System (OMS) compliances.

 <li>
 Manage shift operations: issue &amp; communicate plant specific instructions to Panel and Field Engineers ; carry out field rounds, equipment checks (LLF); Field / Panel Log book checks and ensure corrective actions; Supervise plant operations in Pre-treatment/Reclamation / MEG Storage/Injection; Coordinate with other shift engineers, subsea panel, EWPL and OT Maintenance teams and update the plant status and adjust plant load accordingly in consultation with Shift manager; Ensure equipment availability; Prepares shift Log at the end of the shift and shift handover;

 <li>
 Plant performance &amp; Troubleshooting: Perform activities to ensure that the plant is operated as per SOP and intervention in case of any process upset to put back the system into operation. Assist in alarm rationalisation and monitor the exemption report of OMPRO and take corrective actions in case of deviations. Prepare SOP as per new systems and periodic review of SOP.

 <li>
 Safety &amp; Compliance : Raise PTW notifications in his area of responsibility and get it validated by Shift manager; Prepare and release work permits as per Hazard consideration and risk assessment ; Participates in Risk Assessment / HITRA and tool box talks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure Safe handling of Effluents, Emissions within stipulated limits. To execute activities related to mandatory inspections, Performance verification trials etc. of capital equipment and self-verification requirements of OMS elements.
 </li>
 <li>
 To co-ordinate loop&amp; logic checking of systems periodically with Inst Dept and cleaning / internal inspection with Inspection &amp; Maintenance teams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Handle emergency situations in Pre-treatment/Reclamation / MEG Storage/Injection areas
 </li>
 <li>
 Production Revenue Accounting (PRA):Validate production data in Production Revenue Accounting (PRA); Run production allocation for Gas, water and Condensate; generate monthly PSC report and submit for review and approval; Joint ticket preparation and get approved by operations manager to provide accurate production data within stipulated time and issue to customer.
 </li>

 Audit &amp; upkeep of records : Prepare, update and 1st level review of SOP /Work Instructions; ensure BSC &amp; IMS checklist are filled in all aspects as per schedule; review any gaps in checklist with shift manager and take necessary corrective actions; Provide input for various internal / external / safety audits and close out audit recommendations.

 Coordination in shutdown activities : Provide operational inputs for shutdown plan to shift manager; Receive shutdown plans and ensure necessary preparatory activities in consultation with shift manager; Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely completion; Ensure plant start-up as per SOP and normalise the plant operations .
