About the Team:</b></p>

The Reliability team at Relativity Space ensures quality is built into every stage of the Terran R design and production process, embedding reliability from the very beginning. The team works directly with design, manufacturing, test, and launch teams to stay close to the hardware, understand constraints, and proactively shape decisions. As the program moves from development into production and scaled operations, this is the time to establish the right processes, controls, and inspections without slowing progress. About the Role:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Configuration Identification &amp; Control: Define and maintain product configuration baselines (requirements, design, BOMs, software, and documentation), including part numbering, document control, and revision schemes to ensure alignment between engineering and manufacturing.</li>
<li>Change Management: Administer ECOs, deviations, and change requests; facilitate CCB activities; and evaluate impacts to quality, compliance, cost, and schedule while ensuring proper approvals and implementation tracking.</li>
<li>Documentation &amp; Data Management: Maintain accurate, traceable configuration records across PLM, ERP, and QMS systems with robust version control, archival, and retrieval processes.</li>
<li>Audit &amp; Traceability Support: Provide complete configuration histories and change documentation to support internal and external audits.</li>
<li>Compliance &amp; Quality Systems: Ensure configuration management practices comply with applicable standards and internal procedures; contribute to CM process development, documentation, and KPI monitoring.</li>
<li>Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to support controlled product releases, NPI activities, and adoption of CM best practices.</li>

Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Design and integrate weapons solutions and software into platform architectures using MBSE methodologies.</li><li>
Develop and manage system requirements throughout the lifecycle, ensuring traceability, verification, and compliance with program objectives.</li><li>
Provide expertise in open systems standards, mission engineering, software design, all as part of an integrated digital approach.</li><li>
Apply mission engineering principles to optimize and analyze system and subsystem performance across diverse platforms and operational environments.</li><li>
Collaborate with mission engineers, platform architects, and stakeholders to translate operational needs into executable system architectures and integrated technical solutions.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>BS 5-7, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2 (Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Master&rsquo;s degree preferred).</li><li>
5+ years of relevant systems engineering experience, with demonstrated weapons and defense platform knowledge</li><li>
Knowledge of existing weapons systems programs, weapons software architecture, and mission application for weapons systems</li><li>
Experience implementing open systems standards, MOSA, WOSA, GCIA, across diverse platforms (ground, air, maritime, space, or joint systems).</li><li>
Understanding of mission engineering concepts and their application to weapons/platforms and multi-domain operations.</li><li>
Proficiency with MBSE tools and methodologies (e.g., Cameo, SAM, Rhapsody, SysML, UPDM/UAF).</li><li>
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.</li><li>
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.</li></ul>

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
