About The Position:</h1>
We are seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager (depending on experience) to join Norstella&rsquo;s growing finance organization. Reporting to the VP of Tax, Global Head of Tax, you will be a hands-on owner of the global tax provision and a core member of our in-house tax team. This is an ideal role for a technically strong tax professional who wants real ownership in a fast-paced, multinational environment and who thrives as the company brings more of its tax function in-house.
You will work across the group&rsquo;s US, UK, India, and other international entities, with particular focus on the global tax provision (US GAAP and IFRS), US income and indirect tax compliance, and transfer pricing. The level of the role &mdash; Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager &mdash; will be calibrated to the experience and capabilities of the successful candidate.<h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
Key Responsibilities:</h1>
Tax Provision &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Prepare the global tax provision (US GAAP and IFRS) and supporting forecasts for the group, including current and deferred tax, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions.</li><li>Own provision workpapers and calculations in OneSource Tax Provision (OTP), maintaining data integrity across legal entities and jurisdictions.</li><li>Prepare return-to-provision true-ups and deferred tax roll forwards.</li><li>Support tax disclosures in statutory and consolidated financial statements, and assist with external audit requests.</li><li>Partner with Corporate Accounting, FP&amp;A, and Treasury on tax reporting, forecasting, and planning.</li></ul>
Tax Compliance<ul><li>Manage timely and accurate US federal and state income tax compliance, coordinating with external preparers.</li><li>Support coordination of foreign income tax filings across the group&rsquo;s non-US jurisdictions.</li><li>Review return-to-provision items, estimated payments, foreign tax credits, and group relief.</li></ul>
Indirect Tax<ul><li>Own US sales and use tax compliance, including return preparation and filings through Avalara, nexus monitoring, and exemption certificate management.</li><li>Respond to taxing authority notices and manage indirect tax registrations and documentation.</li></ul>
Transfer Pricing<ul><li>Help set and maintain intercompany and transfer pricing policies, and support the operational application of those policies across entities.</li><li>Coordinate with external transfer pricing advisors on documentation and analyses.</li><li>Monitor intercompany transactions for consistency with policy.</li></ul>
Operations and Transformation<ul><li>Support the transition of provision and indirect tax preparation in-house, reducing reliance on outside providers.</li><li>Help drive OTP optimization and, where relevant, implementation, along with broader process automation and standardization.</li><li>Stay current on global tax developments (e.g., Pillar Two and EU VAT changes) and communicate implications across the business.</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
What the Senior Tax Manager Level Looks Like:</h1>
At the Senior Tax Manager level, we would expect broader and more independent ownership of the global provision, a leading role in OTP implementation and process build-out, more direct management of external advisors, and the judgment to spot and resolve issues with limited oversight. If your experience is deeper in some of these areas than others, we still encourage you to apply, and we will calibrate the level accordingly.<h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
Required Qualifications</h1><ul><li>5+ years of progressive corporate tax experience for the Tax Manager level, and 8+ years for the Senior Tax Manager level, including time in public accounting (Big 4 or equivalent) and ideally in-house at a multinational. Level is driven as much by the depth of global provision ownership and OTP experience as by years.</li><li>Material, hands-on experience preparing the US tax provision under ASC 740, and global tax provision experience under US GAAP and IFRS (IAS 12).</li><li>Hands-on experience with OneSource Tax Provision (OTP).</li><li>Experience with US sales and use tax compliance using Avalara.</li><li>Strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance hands-on execution with sound judgment.</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
Preferred Qualifications</h1><ul><li>CPA or foreign equivalent (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA); strong candidates without certification will be considered.</li><li>OTP implementation experience.</li><li>Familiarity with European direct and indirect tax regimes, including VAT.</li><li>Prior in-house experience at a multinational company.</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">

Compensation:</h1>
The expected base salary for this position ranges from [$145,000 to $160,000]. Final title and base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate&rsquo;s experience and capabilities. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.<h1 class="jobSectionHeader">

Job Description:
As a Tax Manager, you will provide tax consulting, planning, and compliance services to a diverse client base within the real estate and construction industries.  The opportunity
 
 
 
 EY is seeking a Manager to join our Tax Policy team, which is part of our International Tax &amp; Transaction Services (ITTS) practice, where you will work on complex engagements and play a key role in driving the growth of our business.
 
 
 This role will focus on supporting governments and policy makers in strengthening their tax policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax law and policy analysis, with the ability to translate desired policy outcomes into practical recommendations for clients.
 
 
 
 Your Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Provide strategic guidance on the development of tax policy, by reference to best practice and regulatory trends internationally.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support tax and revenue administrations in effectively implementing tax and revenue policies .
 </li>
 <li>
 Support governments with their strategy and engagement on international tax initiatives .
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, finance, economics, public policy) to deliver integrated solutions.
 </li>

 Prepare and present insights in a clear and compelling manner.

 Skills And Attributes For Success
 
 
 
 You must be able to build strong client relationships &amp; excellently communicate in a range of situations in both written and oral English. You should also be able to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upwards. You are expected to be a client focused and commercially aware team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels. You must also possess project management skills, plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines, monitor own budget. You should also be able to solve problems creatively and pragmatically.
 
 
 
 To qualify for the role
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 A degree in economics, finance, tax or accounting
 </li>
 <li>
 At least five years of relevant experience as Tax professional
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working for a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred. However, we will consider candidates from governmental entities, or international firms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong knowledge of domestic and international tax rules and tax authority practices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven ability to manage multiple projects and interact with senior stakeholders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including drafting technical memos and policy papers.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Ideally, you&rsquo;ll also have
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Experience engaging with tax authorities, regulators, and industry bodies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with OECD BEPS, Pillar One and Two, and global minimum tax frameworks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Client-facing experience in advising multinational corporations.

 In-depth, first-hand experience of a wide range of industries

 <li>
 Significant experience in corporate tax, including advisory and compliance.

 Excellent research skills and strong written and verbal communications skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluent in English (Reading, Speaking and Writing). Preference will be given to Bilingual candidates (Arabic/English)
 </li>
 <li>
 In-depth knowledge of tax and business laws and regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent project management and presentation skills required.

 Prior supervisory experience required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prior work experience and knowledge of Oman taxation will be an added advantage.
