<li>Own backend reliability and performance outcomes, define and uphold SLOs, lead incident response on critical paths, treat observability as a design property (golden signals, structured logging, tracing, actionable alerts), and drive measurable improvements in latency, error-budget burn, and infrastructure cost.</li>
<li>Champion a security-first and compliance-aware engineering posture, PCI DSS, PII handling, multi-tenant isolation, secrets management, and secure-by-default patterns are non-negotiable.</li>
<li>Set and uphold the organisation's standards for AI-assisted development, context engineering, prompt and instruction patterns, AI code review protocols, and safe-use boundaries (what can be AI-generated, what requires human design, what must never leave our boundary, and how AI-assisted changes are reviewed, attributed, and audited).</li>
<li>Own and evolve the internal AI tooling playbook, Cursor IDE, Claude Code, Codex CLI, and the next wave, including evaluation of emerging AI coding tools with adoption recommendations grounded in measured trade-offs across developer velocity, code quality, security posture, cost, and lock-in risk.</li>
<li>Measure the impact of AI-augmented engineering, establish baselines and track outcomes so adoption decisions are evidence-based, not anecdotal.</li>
<li>Raise the engineering bar across the team, contribute to hiring and calibration, and drive improvements in engineering processes, tooling, and quality standards (CI/CD, testing strategy, developer experience).</li></ul><br>

Who you are</b></p>

<li><b>10+ years of professional backend software development experience</b>, with a track record of leading technical direction across complex, distributed systems serving production scale.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience leading platform-building efforts end-to-end, from design through production rollout.</li>
<li>Track record of driving tooling, process, or technical-standard adoption at team or org scale, with measurable productivity or quality outcomes.</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in a strictly typed language, here, primarily C# and .NET.</li>

The Role</b></p><p>
We&rsquo;re looking for a <b>Flutter Tech Lead</b> to join a product engineering team building secure, scalable applications across mobile (iOS &amp; Android) and web.</p><p></p><p>
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll help shape the technical direction of the platform while remaining close to the code. You'll be responsible for driving engineering standards, ensuring quality and security, and supporting the delivery of high-quality customer-facing applications.</p><p></p><p>
You'll work as part of an agile team, collaborating closely with engineers, product stakeholders and delivery teams to build, optimise and evolve a modern cross-platform platform.</p><p></p><p><b>
What You'll Be Doing</b></p><ul><li><p>
Lead the design and development of cross-platform applications using Flutter and Dart</p></li><li><p>

What We're Looking For</b></p><ul><li><p>
7+ years' software engineering experience with significant experience building mobile applications</p></li><li><p>
Strong commercial experience developing cross-platform applications using Flutter and Dart</p></li><li><p>
Previous experience in a technical lead or senior engineering role</p></li><li><p>
Deep understanding of reactive state management patterns including BLoC, Cubit or Redux</p></li><li><p>
Experience working with monorepos and managing shared dependencies across multiple applications</p></li><li><p>

<b>DUTIES:</b> This role along with the team will be simultaneously delivering industry-leading functionality while also modernizing technology through cloud migrations, DevOps and other advancements across our technology stack. This role will drive the delivery and oversight related to application development activities (e.g., solution proposals, architectural decisions, macro and micro designs, build/construction activities). Collaborate with business partners to design, develop, and deploy the technology and architecture. Activities include business case development, solution planning, business process modeling, logical system design, system procedures development, estimating, Enterprise Architecture and Security compliance. The pay range for this position is $140,587 - $171,000 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
