<div><div>SUMMARY: Career-Technical Instructors have the responsibility to prepare students to meet entry-level knowledge and skill requirements in their specialty areas. The Career-Technical Instructors report to the Dean of Career and Technical Education.</div> 

Duties and Responsibilities 
1. Teaches students the occupational competencies necessary for employment. 
2. Prepares course competency-based outlines for each instructional course or program. 
3. Prepares detailed lesson plans, job sheets, and laboratory experiments for all units of instruction. 
4. Recommends changes in the total curriculum in order to maintain an up-to-date program. 
5. Develops and maintains the progress of each student in the program. 
6. Teaches related subject matter. 
7. Supervises laboratory experience. 
8. Develops a schedule of courses for each semester. 
9. Reviews and selects instructional materials such as textbooks and audio-visual materials. 
10. Completes requests for supplies and other instructional materials on a timely basis. 
11. Completes enrollment and follow-up reports. 
12. Assists in the development of an annual budget for the instructional program. 
13. Maintains a clean and safe laboratory environment. 
14. Recommends new and/or replacement equipment to be purchased for the program. 
15. Maintains proper inventory of all equipment and tools assigned to the program. 
16. Keeps equipment functioning and in good working order by establishing an effective preventive maintenance system. 
17. Maintains an active craft committee that meets twice a year. 
18. Visits industry for the purpose of developing a good rapport with potential employees. 
19. Takes an active role in the advisement and counseling of students. 
20. Helps students find employment in an occupation related to training. 
21. Fulfills the requirements of career license certification by attending specified classes and workshops. 
22. Serves on various faculty committees. 
23. Attends faculty meetings and workshops. 
24. Performs assigned duties on orientation days scheduled during summer months.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>
Associate in Applied Science Degree in HVAC

<div>Position Description:
The Part-Time Fast Pass Instructor delivers high-quality TSIA readiness instruction and tutoring to high school students participating in Restore Educations Fast Pass program in partnership with Bexar County school districts. This position plays a critical role in preparing students to demonstrate college readiness by strengthening academic fundamentals, building confidence and test-taking strategies, and supporting students in developing individualized study plans aligned to TSIA Math and ELAR objectives. The Part-Time Fast Pass Instructor reports to and is supervised by the Fast Pass Coordinator &amp; Lead Instructor. 
Supervisor: Fast Pass Coordinator &amp; Lead Instructor

FLSA Status: Part-Time (Hourly), Exempt

Location: Various partner ISD campuses in Bexar County (travel required) 
Responsibilities:

Instruction &amp; Academic Support

Deliver Fast Pass curriculum in TSIA Math and/or ELAR to assigned student cohorts.

Facilitate 10-15 hours of instructor-led Fast Pass instruction per cohort.

Lead cohort-based tutoring sessions and mini-TSI simulation activities.

Model effective test-taking strategies, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Support students in developing individualized TSIA study plans.

Reinforce reading, writing, and math skills aligned to TSIA objectives.

Integrate mindset and confidence-building learning strategies into instruction. 
Student Engagement &amp; Support

Build positive, culturally responsive relationships with students.

Monitor student engagement, attendance, and participation.

Identify academic or non-academic barriers to TSIA success.

Communicate student progress and concerns to the Fast Pass Coordinator.

Encourage students connection to postsecondary pathways (TSIA completion, dual credit, college exploration). 
Program Fidelity &amp; Collaboration

Deliver instruction in alignment with Restore Educations Fast Pass curriculum model.

Participate in required instructor training and professional development.

Attend regular instructor meetings for alignment and continuous improvement.

Support accurate documentation of attendance, module completion, and required program data. 
Education and Experience

Required:

Bachelors degree.

Prior teaching, tutoring, or academic intervention experience.

Strong instructional skills in Math and/or ELAR.

Ability to engage and motivate high school students.

Willingness to travel to partner ISD campuses.

Preferred:

Experience preparing students for TSIA, SAT, ACT, or similar standardized assessments.

Experience working with economically disadvantaged or first-generation college-bound students.

Background in secondary education or college readiness programming.

Schedule: Part-time hours will vary based on cohort scheduling and district needs. Instruction typically occurs during school hours, with occasional evenings or weekends required.

Estimated time commitment: Approximately 10-15 instructional hours per cohort plus preparation time and required meetings.

Estimated Hourly Rate: $20-24 per hour, dependent on experience and education.

Job Description
Rochester Community and Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Aviation Instructor to teach in the Aviation Pilot program for the Fall 26' semester. This position may include instruction in ground school and other aviation-related coursework.
The Adjunct Aviation Instructor will provide instruction in Aviation Pilot program courses. Teaching assignments may include topics such as Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, and CFI ground school courses, as well as Advanced Aircraft Systems or Aviation Human Factors. The successful candidate will demonstrate competency in aviation instruction and a strong commitment to student learning.
Start date for this position is 8/24/2026.

Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree</li><li>
2 full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid occupational experience as a pilot and/or flight instructor, including a minimum of 200 hours of dual instruction.</li><li>
1 year of this work experience must be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field.</li><li>
The recency requirement will be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.</li><li>
Must also hold Certified Flight Instructor &ndash; Airplane (CFI) and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) credentials.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualification
Competency to teach Aviation Pilot program courses such as:<ul><li>
Private Pilot ground school</li><li>
Instrument ground school</li><li>
Commercial ground school</li><li>
CFI ground school</li><li>

Adjunct Aviation Airplane Instructor

Job Summary:The Instructor is responsible for utilizing the established program curricula to facilitate engaging lessons and hands-on training to adult learners in their skilled trade. This role ensures that students are prepared for both written exams and practical skills/competency tests to obtain relevant certifications, where applicable, and are prepared for entry level employment in their field of training. The ideal candidate will bring expertise and trade skills in their career field and contribute to the overall success of MTI/DTC students. This role is essential to the success of students both in the classroom and their future careers and will require a high level of organization and planning, attention to detail, public speaking and facilitation skills, time management, relationship building, and empathy.Hours: 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM / Monday-Thursday with an occasional Friday (28 hrs week)Key Responsibilities:1. Teach and Traina. Create lesson plans per the established program curricula.b. Be prepared for class by making copies, preparing lab supplies and materials, and having visual aids/videos/images readily available.c. Facilitate engaging classroom theory lectures and hands-on lab training.d. Utilize supplemental resources where appropriate to maximize student engagement (i.e. simulations, guest speakers, software, gamification).e. Manage course content, due dates, class assignments, etc. in Canvas when applicable.f. Regularly assess student comprehension and retention of course content and lab skills.g. Begin and end class on time, adhering to class schedule and/or lesson plan.h. Model appropriate trade skills and professionalism for students.i. Adhere to programmatic policies and procedures to maintain an orderly, well managed classroom environment.j. Provide tutoring and/or make-up hours to students where applicable.k. Prepare students for certification or licensing exams where applicable.l. Ensure lab equipment is always operational and functional through regular use and inspection, requesting repairs and/or replacements as necessary.m. Ensure lab supplies are readily available for class by taking regular inventory and placing orders as necessary.2. Curriculum Developmenta. Collaborate with program leaders, campus leaders, and academic leaders to ensure the curriculum aligns with industry standards and any programmatic accreditation or regulatory requirements.b. Make recommendations on facility and lab equipment upgrades and repairs as necessary.c. Participate in Curriculum Review Boards where applicable.3. Assess and Support Student Successa. Evaluate and assess student progress through both written and practical exams/assessments, quizzes, and participation in classroom discussions and lab activities.b. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student grades per the program&rsquo;s established grade tracking system (gradekeeper, excel, etc.).c. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance by posting attendance daily in the Faculty Portal, and any other established tracking system per the program policies.d. Participate in weekly SOS (Save Our Students) meetings to discuss any students of concern with programmatic and campus leadership.e. Conduct, and/or collaborate with program leadership and campus leadership to conduct, student advisory meetings as related to academic, attendance, or behavioral concerns.f. Provide students with regular updates on progress, or lack thereof, with grades and attendance.g. Build professional relationships and rapport with students to support their success.h. Maintain a minimum of benchmark of 70% retention for each class with a goal of achieving 80% retention of each class.4. Program Supporta. Assist the program&rsquo;s Externship Coordinator with externship placement, visits and coordination if necessary.b. Assist the program&rsquo;s Placement Coordinator with placement of students, offering reference letters and resources for student placements.c. Attend Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings, graduation ceremonies, monthly program meetings, open houses, bi-annual instructor workshops, and other required functions.d. Attend off-site student events (ex. Senior fair, school physicals, community service events, etc.).e. Maintaining/ensuring student vaccinations are up to date.f. Assist in training new employees within the department.5. Stay Current with Industry Trendsa. Stay abreast of changes and updates within the skilled trade.b. Join or maintain membership to an established professional trade organization.c. Attend trade organization meetings, webinar, and events as applicable.6. Professional Developmenta.
