</li><li>Designs Safety &amp; Risk scope of work in contract and stewards design alternative studies, as required, to optimize project cost and schedule.

</li><li>Prepares and assists in the execution of: Hazard Studies (HAZID- ENVID/HAZOP/LOPA); HSE Checklist and Design Basis; Design HSE Review such as Human Factors, Hazardous Area Classification, Inherent Safety, Alarm Prioritisation.

<ul><li>Have engineering experience in Brown Field oil and gas related Safety &amp; Risk Design and Engineering.
</li><li>Must have engineering experience in the same or similar industry, including experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

</li><li>Working as a Safety and Risk Engineer (Technical Safety / Loss Prevention) in the Oil and Gas Industry.

Education &ndash; Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
<ul><li>Full-Time Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
</li><li>MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
</li><li>Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage.

</li><li>Hazardous Area Classification (Schedule and Drawings).
</li><li>Good knowledge of NFPA and International Standards for Technical Safety / Loss Prevention.

Experience/conducted studies using Shell FRED, SHEPHERD software and or other PEM/Risk integration software. Formal certification preferred.

 Executed studies such as Safety Hazardous Area Classification, Critical Element Identification, Performance Standards, Bow Ties

 <li>
 Experience with ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable), Design HSE Case, Operations HSE Case, AIPSM (Asset Integrity-Process Safety Management) &amp; HEMP (Hazard and Effect Management Process)

 <li>
 Hands-on experience with Loss prevention aspects such as Fire Safety, Fire Protection Design ( FW Demand, Hydraulics, Surge, PFDs/ P &amp; IDs, etc.), Escape &amp; Fire Fighting design
 </li>
 <li>
 Human Factors Engineering Studies experience (Valve Criticality, HFE Screening, etc)
 </li>
 <li>
 Facilitated/led workshops for Technical Safety, which may include but not limited to HAZID, HAZOP, Bowties, ALARP demonstration, MOPO/SIMOPs workshop, SCE Identification workshops, DEM1/DEM2/LFI Screenings and demonstrations.
 </li>

 Adequate involvement in Safeguarding reviews such as Design Review, HAZOP, IPF, etc.
