Experienced and capable of using relevant test equipment, understand, verify design requirements and BOQ, and produce FATs, SATs, ITPs and related test documents, test certificates, acceptable to current NR (Network Rail) and other prevailing standards.</div><br>

Responsibility Includes;</b></div><br>

<ul><li>Coordinate activities of subcontractors on project planning and especially with the civil works activities; report regularly to regional Telecom Engineering head and Project Management.</li><li>Supervise and inspect all site telecommunications activities to ensure execution in accordance with the Project Schedule, Site Specific Work Plans, Approved Work Methods, Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Plans and Approved for Construction Drawings</li><li>Perform field inspections to ensure compliance with the safety policies and procedures and approved work methods.</li><li>Handover to commissioning using handover process/ documentation and support commissioning team to complete the testing phase.</li><li>Analyze requirements and propose cost effective solutions to the track lead engineer.</li><li>Ensure that the design is compatible with the standards of health &amp; safety,</li><li>Coordinate with other entities (other ALSTOM activities/ civil work partners&hellip;) for the technical aspects of the interfaces and especially with the civil works.</li><li>Technical open issues resolution on site, from investigation to modification implementation and problem closure,</li></ul><br>
<ul><li>Support and coordinate the Telecom activities on site</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensure all design and solutions has been reviewed with Alstom Telecom engineering.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Create/Support telecom architectures and solutions for project in terms of Alstom systems needed</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensure contact with the client and/or consortium representatives for the telecom sub-system definition</li><li>Ensure technology watch with the suppliers</li><li>Assist the sourcing for telecom suppliers mapping and prepare compliance matrix for the supplier solutions.</li><li>Ensure support on normative aspects</li><li>Ensure design review application according to projects milestones</li><li>Plan, execute, monitor and control Design, configuration, maintenance, test and Commissioning activities for the telecommunication system according to the overall program schedule.</li><li>Interface with Customer and Engineers on design and commissioning status</li><li>Maintain/Coordinate As-Built Documentation submissions</li><li>Deployment and sizing of networks (fiber optic transmission and other physical deployments (ODFs ..)</li><li>Network maintenance and monitoring (protocol analyzers, performance indicators and quality of service),</li></ul><div><br>

 <b>Minimum Qualifications</b></div><br>

<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.</li>
</ul>
<ul><li>Knowledge of network infrastructure (switches/routers/firewall/media convertor/etc,)</li></ul>
<ul>
<li> Knowledge of associated protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS,LAN-WAN), routing principles (static&amp;dynamic).</li>
<li> CCNA &amp; CCNP certification is a plus</li>
<li>Telecom Engineer, specialized with minimum 10 years-experience in telecom subsystems and interfaces (experience railway systems is a plus).
</li><li>Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (client).</li>
<li>Structured and organized with Hands-on approach</li>
<li>Extensive working knowledge of Complex Networks design, both wired and wireless</li>
<li>Extensive experience with network architecture design</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Switching and Routing protocols</li>
<li>Working knowledge of wireless communications in demanding scenarios</li>
<li>Prior experience managing medium-large sized projects and project teams</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Test and commissioning processes</li>
<li>Detail oriented with organizational skills</li>
<li>Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
</li><li>Experience in the railway Signalling Systems sector would be a plus.</li></ul><br>
