</b></p><p>Nightline is part of the award-winning ABC News team! The 30-minute broadcast brings viewers inside stories ranging from breaking news to feature stories. Nightline has also produced numerous original documentaries available on ABC News digital platforms and Hulu.</p><p></p><p>
Nightline interns will be exposed to the inner-workings of a network broadcast&mdash;from pitching stories to seeing the final product on the air. Interns will experience what life in a national newsroom is like.</p><p></p><p><b>
The approximate dates of this internship are mid-August 2026 through early January 2027.</b></p><p></p><p><b>
What You Will Do</b></p><ul><li>
Attend local interviews to support production, producers and correspondents.</li><li>
Review and log various media materials, such as video footage and interviews.</li><li>
Participate in essential administrative tasks crucial for the smooth operation of the show.</li><li>
Research potential story topics and capture information, as well as research and assist with prep for interviews.</li><li>
Attend daily Nightline staff editorial meetings to discuss potential stories, story angles, and coverage strategies.</li><li>
Assist our Production Assistant team in pulling stock photos and video for our stories as well as archiving past stories and elements.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Required Qualifications &amp; Skills
</b></p><ul><li>Previous experience (academic or internship) in journalism (print and/or broadcast); television production, news and news media production; and/or television news script writing</li><li>
Experience with multi-tasking in a constantly evolving work environment, effectively balancing and prioritizing multiple projects</li><li>
Experience working in collaborative environments, and researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>
Familiarity with ABC News Programming</li><li>
Knowledge and interest in current events</li><li>
Familiarity with and/or curiosity about editorial content development</li><li>
Previous internship experience in a professional newsroom setting</li><li>
Experience with digital editing using AVID or similar program</li><li>
Experience with fact-checking</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Education
</b></p><ul><li>Major or previous coursework in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Film/Television or a related field</li><li>
Junior or Senior year preferred</li></ul><p></p><p><b>

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:</b></p><ul><li>
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.</li><li>
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.</li><li>
Be at least 18 years of age</li><li>
Possess unrestricted work authorization</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Additional Information</b></p><ul><li>
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship</li><li>
The approximate dates of this internship are mid-August 2026 through early January 2027</li><li>
Fully available to work 40 hours per week (hours and days to be determined by your supervisor and could include nights, weekends, and/or possible overnights)</li><li>
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area</li>
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work<br>
