<div>GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Teller I conducts transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently while meeting or exceeding service quality standards. This position safeguards bank assets assigned to them, contributing to the banks growth bank by promoting and cross-selling bank products and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Receives, pays out cash, and handles negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals and transfers. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time. 
2. Sets up, closes and balances teller station. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time. 
3. Records sales of monetary instruments. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time. 
4. Assists customers with inquiries in person or by telephone. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Job Description:
The Teller I works in a TD Store location and plays a key role in delivering legendary customer experiences while processing everyday banking transactions with accuracy and efficiency while also educating customers on TD's products and services or referring them to a partner for specialized solutions.
Depth &amp; Scope:
<ul><li>Executes TD's Brand promise to customers by consistently executing appropriate behaviors to deliver a Legendary Customer experience in the Store
</li><li>Performs customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan and safe deposit box payments efficiently
</li><li>Processes cash transactions such as cashing checks, verifying currency, balancing cash drawer, and night deposits with a high level of accuracy
</li><li>Responds to and resolves customer inquiries and concerns using standard procedures and escalating to management as necessary
</li><li>Engages in lobby leadership by orchestrating customer flow, warmly welcoming customers, and guiding appropriately
</li><li>Understands customer preferences with banking (when and how they want) and educates customers on self-service/digital options that meet their needs
</li><li>Acts as an advocate for the customer by conducting needs-based conversations; offering financial &amp; digital solutions, and/or referring the customer to appropriate partner to provide solutions
</li><li>Makes sound decisions and provides timely problem resolution, escalating more difficult issues to management
</li><li>Ensures compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer
</li><li>Verifies customers' identities by following customer authentication policies &amp; procedures
</li><li>Balances cash drawers Automated Teller machines (ATMs) and Teller Cash Dispensers (TCDs)/ Teller Cash Recyclers (TCRs) as necessary
</li><li>Adheres to safe deposit box procedures/operations and guidelines
</li><li>Responsible and accountable for cash drawers and vaults including maintaining appropriate cash limits and securing cash at all times
</li><li>Accountable for ensuring confidential customer information is securely stored throughout the day
</li><li>Understands the importance of and follows dual control
</li><li>Follows all security and audit measures to minimize potential loss
</li><li>Utilizes bank tools and processes to detect, address and prevent fraud
</li><li>Expected to complete all required in-classroom training and on-line training by established due dates
</li></ul>Education &amp; Experience:
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED
</li><li>6 months work related experience preferred; or equivalent can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, military experience
</li><li>Ability to work during operating hours to include weekends, evenings, holidays as scheduled
