Summit Technical Solutions (STS) is seeking a mid-level Help Desk Technician to provide Tier I, II and higher Level tier support on the Command Information Management Systems (CIMS III) contract at Peterson AFB, CO. The Help Desk Technician resolves technical problems in a help desk environment, uses expertise in customer service and technical knowledge gained from prior experience to resolve issues surrounding installation, usage, and training on software and/or hardware products including hands-on troubleshooting. The selected candidate will work under general direction and exercise latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. They will provide input to management on matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives. 


Job duties include, but are not limited to:

<li>Provide Tier I, Tier II and Higher Level Tier support.</li>
<li>Perform Hardware/Software installation and maintenance.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of various Operating systems (OS) (Windows 8, 10, etc.).</li>

<li>Enforce standard PC configuration conformation to command requirements.</li>
<li>Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.</li>
<li>Research questions using available information resources.</li>

<li>Follow standard help desk procedures.</li>
<li>Log all help desk interactions.</li>
<li>Administer help desk software.</li>
<li>Redirect problems to appropriate resource.</li>
<li>Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.</li>
<li>Document, track, monitor and resolve ticketed problems to timely and satisfactory resolution and within Service Level Agreement levels (SLAs).</li>
<li>Prepare activity reports.</li>
<li>Stay current with system information, security patches changes and OS updates.</li>
<li>Create and maintain detailed documentation of the processes and procedures performed by the position.</li>

Required Experience 
Qualified candidates will have the following experience and qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Associate's degree in related technical field and 3+ years of related experience; OR 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree</li>
<li>Security+ CE or equivalent IAT Level II certification</li>
<li>Current Secret clearance is required</li>
<li>Experience providing IT support to Army customers strongly preferred</li>
<li>Familiarity with Altiris and REMEDY trouble ticketing software applications.</li>
<li>Windows 10 Server Experience a plus</li></ul>

Functions performed may include but are not limited to A-station, presort, pickup and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory, imaging/microfilming, centrifugation and aliquoting. All functions must be performed with confidence, accuracy and in a timely manner. Job is complex and requires employees to have good organization skills and is able to learn and understand specimen types related to test(s) ordered by clients. The SPT I must have the ability to learn and understand the compliance regulations related to test ordering which may change daily. This position is critical to quality for customer satisfaction. Additionally, since many changes do occur from day to day, great flexibility on the part of the SPT I is required. The SPT I will be exposed to many different demands made by the customer. Majority of SPT I work on the nightshift but based on staffing needs, weekends, holidays, on call and overtime availability is a requirement.

The Help Desk Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily Help Desk operations and supporting the performance and development of Help Desk Support Specialist I staff.
