<div></div><div><b>Field Duties (70- 80% of work time):</b></div>
<ul><li>Perform inspections, tower mappings and post construction inspections on telecommunications towers.</li>
<li>Ability to travel up to five days a week.</li>
<li>Must have a labor-intensive attitude and be capable of climbing towers, water tanks or rooftops, and the physical ability and willingness to scan, probe, dig and drill to obtain foundation dimensions and steel reinforcement on guyed, SST, and Monopole Towers</li>
<li>Provide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner.</li>
<li>Adhere to all company and industry standard/regulations (OSHA, COMTRAIN, etc.)</li>
</ul><div><b>Office Duties (20- 30% of work time):</b></div>
<ul><li>Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to field work.</li>
<li>Review peer work product.</li>
</ul><div><b>Qualifications:</b></div>
<ul><li>One year general construction experience preferred but not required; some cell tower industry experience highly preferred.</li>
<li>A minimum of 1-2 years of Tower Technician/Climbing experience required</li>
<li>Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.</li>

J&amp;K is in immediate need of an Experienced Tower Climber/ RF Field Technician in the Columbia City area. This list of responsibilities is not all inclusive:</p><ul><li>Installation and removal of LMR, SCADA and Microwave radio systems on free standing towers and water tanks.</li><li>Knowledge of equipment, climbing, rigging and safety procedures is a plus but can be taught.</li><li>Basic working knowledge of Direct and Alternating electrical current.</li><li>Install and maintain radio systems, including base stations, repeaters, mobile radios, point-to-point, point-to-multipoint radios and microwave radio systems.</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair radio equipment, including diagnosing faults and replacing faulty components.</li><li>Networking and routing knowledge to include LAN, WAN, OSPF and BGP</li><li>Knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 network protocols to include, Ethernet, ARP, IP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, IGMP, ICMP and DHCP</li><li>Knowledge of PLC/RTU communications protocols</li><li>Diagnose, repair, and install antenna systems and RF filtering systems.</li><li>Construction of electrical panels based on blueprints and electrical schematics.</li><li>Diagnose, repair, and install DC and AC circuits.</li><li>Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections of radio equipment.</li><li>Research and evaluate system problems and recommend a solution.</li><li>Work with the sales team to assist in coordinating project installation/deployments.</li><li>Assist with the specifications and design of dispatch and remote communications installations.</li><li>Participate in on-call rotation for afterhours emergency call outs. Current rotation consists of approximately 1 day per week and 1 weekend every 6 weeks. An additional daily incentive when on-call, whether called out or not.</li></ul><p>
Lists of skills and requirements for the position:</p><ul><li>3-5 years&rsquo; experience in the industry or similar industry is preferred</li><li>Basic working knowledge of hand tools and power tool operation.</li><li>Ability to pass a background check and pre-hire drug screen/physical is a must</li><li>Must possess a valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>Ability to travel (overnights) when needed</li><li>Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers and clients daily</li><li>Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to prioritize and multitask</li></ul><p>

<li>3+ years of current/relevant tower climbing experience</li>
<li>Current authorized tower climber or competent climber and rescue certification preferred.</li>
<li>Ability to work at heights upwards of 300&rsquo; +</li>
<li>Ability to successfully complete and maintain certifications for the following courses: Competent Climber, Competent Rescuer, ANSI A10.48 Rigging Certification, Capstan Operations, RF Awareness, OSHA 10, First Aid/ CPR and other certifications as required</li>
<li>Experience installing and maintaining: Cabling, Antennas, Microwave dish, tower builds (NEW/MODS), site inspections, FAA lighting systems, cell carriers (Sprint, T-MOB, Verizon, USCC, Etc.)</li>
<li>Knowledge of and ability to operate test equipment (i.e. RF sweep gear, PIM and fiber testing)</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Working knowledge software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook</li>
<li>Able to work independently and as a member of a team</li>
<li>Able to travel extensively and work a flexible schedule</li>
<li>Willingness to undergo a background and drug screening is required</li>
<li>Must have knowledge with battery installation and power plant in shelters (Power Plant and Battery cut over shelter work).</li>
