</b></p><p>Although all applicants with electrical knowledge will be considered, applicants currently enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program will be given extra consideration. This position will work under a licensed Electrician and will follow State of Idaho Code pertaining to Electrician Apprenticeship training, schooling, on-job-training. The incumbent will progress to becoming a licensed electrician for ITD.

</b></p><p></p><p>The purpose of this position is to install, program, maintain, trouble shoot, repair, and inspect electrical and electronic systems in traffic signals, highway and sign lighting and buildings, structures and specialized equipment. The successful incumbent will be required to respond to emergencies at any hour, work in all types of weather conditions, around high-speed and high-volume traffic, with high voltage, and at heights up to 50 feet.

</i></p><p></p><ul><li>Install, maintain and repair traffic signal systems including wiring, conduits, and traffic signal hardware
</li><li>Install, maintain and repair vehicle and pedestrian detection systems and intersection cabinets and their associated components and peripheries
