Load and unload equipment. Plan and follow routes for timely delivery, including understanding permit routes and provisions for oversized or overweight loads.Operates a quad-axle dump truck equipped with various configurations of dump body to transport and dump materials such as rock, soil, or other materials to and from project sites.Follows all safety requirements and procedures outlined by all regulatory agencies and company policies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Performs daily truck equipment inspections and all required safety equipment including, but not limited to; tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water, etc. before each shift to assure equipment is safe for usage. Completes written daily inspection report as required. Submits request for maintenance for any repair items.Maintains truck logs or time recordings as required. Assist with proper and legal loading of materials for transport as designated by supervisor.Weighs in and out at scales for load ticketing and legal weight compliance. Receives designated directions from supervisor.Operate truck safely to and from project destination and prepares and acquires customer signature receipts for load delivered.Maintains telephone and/or radio contact with supervisor for instructions.Move hand and foot controls for truck movement forward and backward and to loosen and dump material adhering to body. Occasionally set tailgate chains for measured spreading delivery.Perform emergency roadside repairs including, but not limited to, changing tires, installing light bulbs, installing tire chains.Performs post trip vehicle inspection noting any defects or deficiencies in writing. Written inspections are turned in to designated locations or personnel.Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, two or more years&rsquo; related experience driving trucks, heavy haul.<ul><li>Valid CDL - Class A Commercial Driver s License. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and have acceptable driving record. We are seeking a dependable and efficient CDL Class A truck drivers to drive tractor trailers for local deliveries of medical diagnostic equipment. Must be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently. A clean driving record and commercial driving experience is a must.CDL-A drivers are responsible for the safe and timely movement of tractor trailers configured for mobile medical imaging (MRI &amp; PET mobile units) and assisting technologists at client site.AS Transport, National Diagnostic, and NDS Wellness are part of the NDS Family of CompaniesJob Description The MRI/CT techs in the mobile units scan during the day, so employees will move trailers at night to locations where appointments are scheduled. Employees report to Corunna daily to pick up their truck, then drive to hospitals &amp; medical clinics (mostly in the metro Detroit area). Once the employee arrives at a client location, they drop off or pick up their trailer. Set up/tear down requires drivers to get out of their truck and unload or pack up the trailer (we say this takes about 30-45 minutes). Drivers will typically move 2-3 trailers a night. Drivers will be provided training for 2-3 weeks to learn the routes and to learn how to set up/tear down trailers.Hours: 6PM to 2AM or 5PM-3AMEmployees work 8 -10 hours shifts 4-5 times a week. Shifts include week night and weekend nights.Job Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Ability to drive tractor trailers with manual and automatic transmissions with a minimum of 2 years experience.
