About the role

We are looking for an AI Enablement and Transformation Lead to join our People team with a focused mission: transforming how our organization works by embedding AI into the way our People team operates and delivers programs company-wide.

This role is purpose-built for someone who understands both the craft of HR and the power of AI &mdash; and who gets excited about unlocking new levels of impact through smarter, faster, and more human-centered ways of working. You'll partner across all People functions &mdash; from Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards to our People Business Partners and People Operations teams &mdash; identifying opportunities to integrate AI tools, upskilling AI proficiency, and building the internal capability that makes transformation stick.

This isn't a training-room-only role. You'll be a strategic partner, a hands-on coach, and a change agent embedded within the People team.

What you bring to the role
<ul>
<li>2+ years of experience in core HR functions, Learning &amp; Development, or HR Operations preferred</li>
<li>3+ years of direct experience with AI tools in a professional context, with a strong understanding of how AI applies to workflows specifically</li>
<li>Ability to craft effective prompts for a variety of HR workflows (job descriptions, communications, data analysis, etc.)</li>
<li>Understanding of how LLMs work at a conceptual level &mdash; enough to teach others and troubleshoot outputs</li>
<li>Knowledge of AI limitations, hallucinations, and how to quality-check AI-generated content</li>
<li>Proven ability to influence and drive adoption&mdash; making AI approachable, relevant, and immediately useful</li>
<li>Experience designing and facilitating training or enablement programs in a corporate setting</li>
<li>Strong consultative skills &mdash; able to partner with stakeholders, diagnose needs, and build practical solutions</li>

Compensation - At Human Interest, there are a number of factors that are used to determine the appropriate pay range for each position. We take into account the cost of labor for each position in various markets across the U.S. The base salary for this position spans $120,000 - $135,000 and represents the minimum in our lowest geographic region to a maximum in our highest geographic region. The salary we offer to a new employee within this range is based on their location within the U.S., their relevant job-related skills, and experience. At Human Interest, base salary is one component of the overall total rewards package. Depending on the position, additional compensation components such as bonuses, commissions, and equity may be offered. The Medical Core System Transformation Lead is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of the health insurer&rsquo;s core medical system modernization, including policy administration, claims, benefits, provider management, and clinical integrations.

What You Will Do:<ul><li>
Lead transformative initiatives by partnering with senior stakeholders to modernize financial processes through innovative technology solutions.</li><li>
Work with senior executives to understand their pain points and design feasible and actionable solutions to address them using technology.</li><li>
Oversee citizen development teams, ensuring alignment with technical best practices and delivery of high-quality, scalable digital tools.</li><li>
Drive integration and collaboration across cross-functional teams to enhance the effectiveness and connectivity of financial systems.</li><li>
Identify and unlock technology potential within the client&rsquo;s environment, recommending enhancements that improve efficiency, transparency, and compliance.</li><li>
Translate strategic goals into actionable plans, guiding teams through execution while maintaining a focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.</li><li>
Evaluate technology modernization opportunities including performing analysis of alternatives to compare low code technology solution options against enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.</li><li>
Embed financial management standards into the design and development of technology solutions, ensuring alignment with federal financial policies, audit readiness, and operational integrity.</li><li>
Collaborate with technology practitioners to drive the creation of scalable AI prototypes, serving in a product manager role.</li></ul> 
What You Will Need:<ul><li>
Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD/DHS &quot;PUBLIC TRUST&quot;; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business, finance, accounting, information systems, engineering, or a related field.</li><li>
TWELVE (12) years of experience leading technology-enabled transformation initiatives.</li><li>
Strong understanding of Agile delivery, including backlog management, sprint planning, and iterative development cycles.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams, fostering innovation while ensuring governance and quality standards.</li><li>
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of an organization.</li><li>
Experience with change management or organizational design, especially in technology-driven environments.</li><li>
Knowledge of SAP ERP system or equivalent system functionality.</li><li>
Ability to commute to Guidehouse and client offices in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area, as needed.</li></ul> 
What Would Be Nice To Have:<ul><li>
Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or project management (e.g., PMP, CSM, SAFe).</li><li>
Familiarity with federal IT governance frameworks, including security, privacy, and compliance requirements.</li><li>
Advanced degree in business, technology, or public administration.</li><li>
Experience in federal business development and the ability to lead end to end capture.</li><li>
Familiarity with federal financial systems and processes, particularly those relevant to CFO functions within DHS or similar agencies.</li></ul>
