Job Summary:
Caterpillar&rsquo;s Electric Power Division has an exciting opportunity as a Transformation Manager. The Transformation Manager will lead multiple initiatives to understand, analyze, develop and recommend Strategy &amp; Planning (S&amp;P) solutions as a divisional lead. The transformation will develop the team and the LEPS organization to be best in class at project delivery for growth results.
What you will do:
<ul><li>Leads multiple analyses and solution development for key S&amp;P engagement module(s) as a divisional lead. Performs more complex activities.</li><li>
Map current processes, identify gaps and produce business cases to implement solutions.</li><li>
Govern the prioritization of all LEPS business improvement projects with a robust and clear methodology.</li><li>
Works closely with internal partners and external service providers to define the business problem, issues and planned approach for one or more S&amp;P engagement components as a divisional lead.</li><li>
Oversees performance of S&amp;P engagement data collection, research and reporting activities and staff as a divisional lead.</li><li>
Coaches team members on best in class project management methods.</li><li>
Develop process control documentation and governance.</li></ul>

This role involves setting the strategic direction for projects, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term goals, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. What you will do • Lead the project design phase for Automotive strategy & transformation projects, aligned to our 3-year strategy • Identify transformation needs and opportunities across the organization • Support the development of transformation business cases by analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations • Provide leadership and guidance in the creation of business cases • Ensure alignment of all projects to the Automotive strategic pillars and objectives • Deliver projects to time, cost, scope, and quality • Proactively identify project risks and issues and develop effective mitigation plans • Engage with key stakeholders and workstream leads to ensure transparency and momentum • Establish effective relationships with Automotive Executive Board members and other critical stakeholders • Ensure robust project and portfolio reporting and adherence to governance Required skills to be successful • 3+ years of professional consulting experience, typically in management consulting or financial advisory • Deep understanding of transformation and initiative management • Full proficiency with Microsoft Office, including the ability to create high-quality PowerPoint presentations and Excel analysis • Prior experience with project management (both Agile & Waterfall) and governance adherence to frameworksAbout the team You will be part of the Strategy & Transformation department, working closely with the core business units, centers of excellence, and enabling functions. Our primary focus is delivering transformational projects on time, budget, and quality. We also support scrum masters, project managers, and product owners across Automotive in understanding and adapting to effective ways of managing successful projects.
