Takes reservations, answers questions, register new riders and, when needed, collect pre-paid fare applying customer service methods.</li><li>
Transports passengers when needed.</li><li>
Uses a variety of communication systems and automated scheduling software to schedule service, monitor operations, coordinate vehicles and drivers, and adjust schedules to optimize service delivery.</li><li>
Uses judgment to resolve unusual situations or situations that occur in the field such as, errors in pick-up or drop off locations, changes, additions, and modification in services, and change out of broken equipment to ensure service delivery.</li></ul><b>

The Driver position within our PACE program is the primary resource to transport physically limited passengers in our van to varied destinations timely, safely and door to door.<p></p><p>
Educational/Training Requirements:</p><ul><li>

Certificates, Licenses, and Registration:</p><ul><li>
Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.</li><li>
First Aid, CPR, and AED certification is required. Course certification must include hands-on skills validation to ensure competency. Courses from both the <b>American Red Cross</b> (<i>Adult First Aid/CPR/AED</i>) or the <b>American Heart Association</b> (<i>Heartsaver&reg; First Aid CPR AED</i>), meet this requirement</li><li>
Certification of completion of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias Training through the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.</li></ul><p></p><p>
Experience Requirements:</p><ul><li>
At least one year experience in transporting handicapped individuals and working with the frail elderly.</li></ul><p></p><p>
Position Specific Responsibilities: (not all inclusive)</p><ul><li>
Under the supervision of the Manager, Transportation, is responsible for the direct transportation of physically limited passengers to and from their destinations. Position required constant interaction with caregivers and community agencies while conducting business with Hope PACE.</li><li>
Transport physically limited passengers to varied destinations both timely, safely and door to door.</li><li>
Ensure that the van is in proper working order. Report and document maintenance performed.</li><li>
Assist passengers on and off the van in a safe and courteous manner. Deal with medical equipment and other emergencies that may arise.</li><li>
Follow established scheduled, adjust schedules to meet unanticipated changes , determine the safest and most efficient pick up and delivery routes.</li><li>
Participate as a member of interdisciplinary team. Take part in participant care planning and contribute to notations in medical record. Report important information to proper staff of Hope PACE daily regarding any changes, progress, or unusual events concerning any participant.</li><li>
Participate in the maintenance of a safe, clean and healthful day center environment.</li><li>
May assist with patient care in the day health center when not transporting participants.</li><li>
Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times with others, e.g., co-workers, management, vendors, and customers.</li><li>
Consistently represents Hope with integrity and professionalism.</li><li>
Complete all job responsibilities in a thorough and complete manner, utilizing good judgment in all aspects of the job. Carry out duties and responsibilities in a manner that exemplifies excellent customer service.</li><li>
When unsure of a directed task or any part of job responsibilities, proactively seek the assistance of immediate supervisor.</li><li>
