College level degree preferred.</li><li>Required Experience - Five years of experience in heavy equipment, trucking, or other disciplines within the waste management field, including four years in a supervisory capacity. Public sector experience preferred.</li><li>Required Licenses - Valid driver&rsquo;s license and safe driving record required to operate SPSA owned or leased vehicles. As a Transportation Supervisor you will support the Transportation Manager with all aspects of cross-dock and store delivery operations supported by the Phoenix DC. The Transportation Supervisor acts as a primary point of contact for Logistics and serves as the liaison among Distribution Services and Store Operations. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
This is a competitive Civil Service position which requires the applicant to be on a current Civil Service List for School Bus Dispatcher, or be able to complete the required examination. Position provides assistance and support to the Transportation Supervisor. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Transportation Supervisor. In addition, related work shall be assigned as required by the Transportation Supervisor or Central Office Administration.

Description:
<ul><li>Establishes and reviews bus routes, trains new drivers, dispatches buses to provide safe and timely transportation to children</li>
<li>Drive bus</li>
<li>Establish bus routes</li>
<li>Call subs when drivers are absent</li>
<li>Train and test new drivers</li>
<li>Check and approve time cards for accuracy</li>
<li>Collect maintenance records from bus mechanics</li>
<li>Collect proper records for bus drivers' folders to comply with the laws of 19A and the state education department</li>
<li>Performs other related duties as assigned</li>
