The Associate Buyer is responsible for securing new business prospects through sourcing and travelling to salvage &amp; recycling yards, to purchase catalytic converters and non-ferrous metals. Upon purchases the Associate Buyer is responsible for loading all purchased units and transporting these units back to the assigned collection hub, where units will be unloaded, sorted and prepared for shipment to the corporate office.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and secure the daily inventory purchased. Perform onsite audits and adhere to control processes for inventory accuracy.
Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations in order to purchase materials in compliance.
Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned by Supervisor, could include: coordinating shipping arrangements; inventory weigh-in reports/logs; train new buyers; fork lift operation.
Education/Qualifications:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required
Minimum Age 21 years
Vocational/Technical Training a plus
Clean Driving Record with Valid Driver's License
