As a Turbomachinery Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:<ul><li>
Preparing the technical proposals of rotating equipment (auxiliary systems) and participating in negotiating proposed solutions, including but not limited to technical solutions and cost,s etc.</li><li>
Preparing, within the required timeline, the most attractive technical proposal at first submission (i.e. including but not limited to the selection of rotating equipment and its auxiliary systems) using ITO tools and following ITO policies and procedures and implementing, where appropriate, innovative technology (NPD).</li><li>
Leading techno-commercial discussions with clients on configuration, performance, and economics while interfacing with the commercial/sales team.</li><li>
Applying product and quality policies, addressing, and mitigating risks per Baker Hughes/BH procedures.</li><li>
Presenting the overall technical picture to senior leaders on how the proposal is fulfilling the overall strategy to win.</li><li>
Documenting effectively all communications, technical specifications, costing rationales, etc., to facilitate smooth handoff to the Order To Remittance team.</li><li>
Communicating across the direct organisation.</li><li>
Connecting the dots across technologies and developing cross-technology solutions; works on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business. Communicates across the function in the area of expertise.</li></ul>

To be successful in this role, you need to:<ul><li>
Have a BE/BTech in Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial Engineering, with 10+ years of experience in Application engineering.</li><li>
Have work experience closely with sales and commercial teams in creating/owning technical proposals for centrifugal compressors while performing design &amp; selection of equipment.</li><li>
Experience in techno-commercial roles such as DTI etc. with at least 5 years of prior experience in rotating equipment design and selection and have worked in OTR/NPI team performing/owning complex requisition/design activities.</li><li>

They will work closely and interactively with clients including reporting progress and making forecasts for cost and schedule.Job Duties:<ul><li>Develop specifications and drawings for assigned projects including design calculations</li><li>Develop project objectives, estimates and responsibilities by reviewing client requirements, project proposals and plans, and conferring with the Program Manager, Project Manager and client representatives</li><li>Responsible for engineering and design of gas compression facilities, liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities, renewable natural gas (RNG) facilities, liquid pump stations, gas processing, dehydration, heaters, filter separators, oil / gas pipelines, pipeline metering facilities and slug catchers</li><li>Develop service, material and construction procurement scopes of work, evaluate proposals and provide award recommendations</li><li>Review vendor drawings for concurrence with technical specifications, project requirements, applicable codes, standards and best practices</li><li>Responsible for performing and/or reviewing pipe sizing calculations, valve sizing, hydrostatic test design; hydraulic design, compressor designs, pump designs, etc.</li><li>Interact professionally with clients, vendors, regulatory and permitting agencies</li><li>Provide support for engineering/design manhour estimates and proposals</li><li>Provide support for overall installed project cost estimates</li><li>Specify materials and equipment for purchase, using data sheets when required. Write equipment specifications for purchase when required</li><li>Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and status reports. Plan and schedule changes; recommending actions to ensure project stays on-time and on-budget while meeting client specifications</li><li>Ensure project compliance with appropriate government regulations, safety rules, and company and client policies</li><li>Can demonstrate a working knowledge of real-world engineering topics that fall within the engineers discipline to the extent that the engineer can competently participate in a technical discussion with other SMEs within that discipline</li><li>Mentors and/or supervises engineering staff</li><li>Provides training presentations within the engineer's discipline to educate others within the company on topics related to the discipline</li><li>Is a recognized Subject Matter Expert on one or more specific topics within their engineering discipline. Expands knowledge in other areas of specialty or discipline, developing breadth or further develops expertise and specialization in one area</li><li>Able to run complex engineering calculations applicable to discipline</li><li>Evaluates methodologies, best practices, tools, processes, procedures and technology assessing potential fit, benefits, and impacts for engineering work</li><li>Provides engineering and technical solutions by using existing or developing tools, methods, approaches and tactics in new ways or by modifying and improving them</li><li>Presents engineering research, findings, solutions and recommendations to leadership</li><li>Develops and presents complex technical information clearly, concisely and effectively</li><li>Works independently under limited direction and guidance</li><li>Independently evaluates, determines and applies standard engineering techniques and approaches using independent judgement</li><li>Lead projects with multi-disciplined engineering teams which may include engineering contractors Independently performs all tasks necessary to complete primary design of engineering work</li><li>Lead procurement efforts including technical equipment specifications, vendor bid evaluations and recommendations</li><li>Lead field engineering efforts or on-site meetings with clients and other stakeholders</li><li>May assist in PM activities on projects or being a PM on engineering projects</li><li>Delegate and assign engineering tasks to project teams</li><li>Demonstrate experience understanding and redlining drawings including PFD&rsquo;s, P&amp;ID&rsquo;s, Site Plans and coordinate with drafters to progress models/drawing packages</li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering Discipline (BSME).</li><li>Valid Professional Engineer license</li><li>Preferred 13 years of professional experience with 5 years in oil &amp; gas/utility industry.</li><li>10+ years of experience with turbomachinery equipment (compressors, turbines)</li><li>Thorough knowledge of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping &amp; Instrumentation Diagrams (P&amp;ID), piping drawings, isometric fabrication drawings, bill of materials, and general arrangement drawings.</li><li>Good knowledge of industry codes and standards ASME/ANSI/API/NFPA/CSA codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 49 CFR 192 &amp; 195).</li><li>Excellent written, verbal communication and organization skills.</li></ul>Compensation: $120K - $145 K (Commensurate with Experience)WHY CAMPOS EPC?Campos EPC offers industry leading pay, a great team environment, and a rewards system that aligns your compensation with your success.
