<p><b>Position Summary:</b><br>

The Used Car Manager supports the Used Cars operation by overseeing the trade in, reconditioning and selling process of all aspects of used vehicles.</p>
<div><b>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></div><br>
<p>
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Work closely with the Pre-owned Platform coordinator.</li>
<li>Facilitate new vehicle sales by enabling customers to trade their current vehicles</li>
<li>Offer an appropriate purchase alternative for customers who prefer to purchase a Certified Used Vehicle or other used vehicle from one of the Dalton Corporation Dealerships, or who cannot afford a new vehicle purchase or lease</li>
<li>Attract customers to the dealership through effective and appropriate advertising and merchandising of quality Certified Used Vehicles from one of the Dalton Corporation Dealerships and other used vehicles</li>
<li>Provide an outlet for the sale of used or off-lease Dalton Corporation vehicles traded or returned to the dealership</li>
<li>Acquire used vehicles for the dealership that reflect market demand, dealership goals and the Dalton Corporation image</li>
<li>Manage the reconditioning, wholesaling and inventory of used vehicles</li>
<li>Price used vehicles based on market conditions and dealership goals</li>
<li>Attend pertinent training and stay current with sales department concerns and sales techniques.</li>
<li>Ensure that factory certification standards are maintained and also inventory is updated and finalized.</li>
<li>Run Sales / Trade report daily to maximize the efficiency of the used car department and make recommendations on how to improve the sales department.</li>
<li>Review the decisions from the pre-owned platform coordinator on body and cosmetic work and redirect when needed</li>
<li>Drive used cars, as needed to properly access the vehicle condition for trade ins and make recommendations for reconciliation.</li>
<li>Clear any used car trades with the Finance Director, prep vehicle for reconditioning; meet with Finance Director on any pending used car DMV deals.</li>
<li>Oversee the process to certify inventory.</li>
<li>Unwind any Dalton Corporation certified units and re-certify them.</li>
<li>RDR all sold Dalton Corporation inventory, post warranty on all incoming inventory (Bline, Century, Value, etc., create an inventory file, create jackets with Carfax, buyers&rsquo; guides, and service R.O.&rsquo;s, email Xcite a list of all incoming inventory to create window stickers, run KSR, NVITUS, Carfax, Auto Check on used car inventory, as a back up to the Pre-Owned Platform Manager.</li>
<li>Use Axcessa to check wholesale accounting receivables, and title tracking.</li>
<li>Oversee the private party purchases, ground lease returns process and purchasing of lease returns, private party vehicles, rental units.</li>
<li>Lead the auction process for wholesale vehicles, including overseeing the sale of wholesale vehicles to all auctions.</li>
<li>Effectively use the computerized inventory control system, keeping it current and meeting net profit goals.</li>
<li>Be polite and friendly and greet customers promptly. Consistently follow the outlined sales process.</li>
<li>Deal with escalated customer complaints in a sensible manner by showing empathy and a pleasant attitude to show our commitment to excellent customer service and to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assigned by ownership, upper management and/or immediate supervisor.</li>
</ul>

<ul><li>DMV experience relating to trade&rsquo;s knowledge of DMV rules.</li>
<li>Knowledge of cosmetic&rsquo;s/bodyshop vehicles needing fixes.</li>
<li>Ability to determine work needed to resale vehicle.</li>
<li>Experience with Auctions</li>
