WILDLAND FIRE CAPTAIN DRIVER OPERATOR (CDO) - Duties include, but are not limited to, overseeing all operations on a Type 6 or Type 7 engine while providing a safe working environment for our customers. Responsibilities/Duties:

<ul><li>Wildland Fire Captain Driver Operator (CDO) &ndash; Are Contracted Fire Resources. Essential duties are to provide Public Utility Companies with a safe environment in which to work. This is accomplished by delivering Fire watch and extinguishment, EMS, fire weather updates, safety briefings along with other duties as needed</li>
<li>Travel is required for this position.</li>
<li>Develop, direct and participate in drills and training programs. Provide information to the customer and participate in customer relations events.</li>
<li>Understand the Chain of Command.</li>
<li>A typical shift is from 6:00am to 4:00pm but 12+ hour shifts are common. Red Flag Warning periods may require you to work up to a 72-hour shift.</li>

The ideal candidate will have 10 years experience in the industry, 5 years experience as a foreman, be a proficient equipment operator, possess a strong work ethic, and be capable of leading crews up to 10 people.Duties<ul><li>Supervise, lead, motivate, and manage a crew of 2-10 people performing grading, excavation, and underground utility projects.</li><li>Build projects to applicable plans, specifications, state and local codes and standards.</li><li>Ensure proper trenching, shoring, and excavation safety practices are followed at all times</li><li>Comfortable working outdoors in constantly changing environment including traffic, job site layout, weather, and soil conditions.</li><li>Timecards and daily reports &ndash; track time and quantities and complete daily job diary</li><li>Coordinate trucks, equipment, materials, and manhours to maintain efficient workflow</li><li>Complete pre-task plans, job hazard analysis, lessons learned debrief for specific project requirements</li><li>Operate heavy equipment including: excavators up to 100k lbs, dozers up to 80k lbs, graders, compacting rollers, wheel loaders up to 4cy, backhoes, articulated trucks, telehandlers.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Project specific job duties may include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Install underground wet and dry utilities including storm, sewer, water, conduit, manholes, vaults.</li><li>Road excavation and grading including equipment and methods utilized, number of trucks required, aggregate base materials, knowledge of wearing courses</li><li>Structure excavation and backfill including footings, walls, and vertical foundations.</li><li>Erosion control and final stabilization include installation and maintenance of BMPs</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum 10 years experience heavy civil construction experience with 5 years experience in foreman role</li><li>Ability to read plans, details, and specifications</li><li>Ability to read survey staking and layout</li><li>Ability to perform basic math to calculate grades, slopes, cut/fill, etc.</li><li>Ability to set up and use rotary lasers, pipe lasers, GPS grade control equipment</li><li>Ability to delegate, make informed decisions, be self-sufficient, and work with minimal direction</li><li>Ability to perform all duties of positions supervised (Power Equipment Operator, Laborer, Pipe Layer).</li><li>Experience coordinating with inspectors, municipalities, and subcontractors</li><li>Experience installing underground utilities including sanitary sewer, storm drains, water mains, conduit.</li><li>Experience with trench safety, shoring systems, and OSHA excavation standards</li><li>Current certification in Confined Space, Competent Person, First Aid/CPR preferred</li><li>Topcon GPS experience preferred</li><li>Must have valid driver's license with an clean driving record.  <div>Job Purpose 
Under the Compliance &amp; Smart Operations department, within the hypervision team, the Control Center Operator is responsible for the continuous, real-time monitoring and remote regulation of water utility infrastructure via SCADA systems. This role ensures the stable distribution of water and the efficiency of treatment processes by responding to system alarms, coordinating field team interventions, and maintaining precise operational data logs 
MAIN TASKS 
<ul><li>
Monitor real-time SCADA displays to track water levels, flow rates, and pressure across the network. 
</li><li>
Execute remote commands to start or stop pumps and adjust valve positions based on demand. 
</li><li>
Identify and acknowledge system alarms, prioritizing critical failures for immediate escalation. 
</li><li>
Coordinate with field technicians to dispatch maintenance teams to specific site locations during outages. 
</li><li>
Log all daily operational events, equipment status changes, and set-point adjustments accurately. 
</li><li>
Monitor water quality parameters remotely to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. 
</li><li>
Manage energy consumption by scheduling high-load operations during off-peak hours when possible.

Maintain a detailed shift handover report to ensure continuity of operations between rotations.

Verify the integrity of communication links between the control center and remote telemetry units.

Implement emergency protocols and shutdown procedures during pipe bursts or equipment malfunctions.
